Heritage Armor Questlines

Just completed the human questline. I liked it. Very predictable to be perfectly honest, but not a bad thing to be honest.

Technically leaves an open for a villainous Defias to remain a thing and what I thought was a decent enough cap to Venessa VanCleef’s story.

Now that I actually have it I must say I quite like the robe variant of the Heritage Armor. Helps me feel all Stormwind-y, and Paladin-y at the same time.

Anyone who has done it has thoughts on the Orc questline? As it turns out I did not have an orc leveled like I thought.

The orc quest chain was great, had great lore moments.

  • Gorgonna is snow the chieftain of the Warsong Clan.
  • Jorin Deadeye plans on taking the Bleeding Hollow from Outland and uniting them with the clan on Azeroth.
  • Gordul was dethroned as the Shattered Hand chieftain, he’s still alive. It’s apparently a tradition for the Shattered Hand to follow the strongest.
  • The new Shattered Hand chieftain is a new character, created in Shadowlands, named Thega Graveblade.
  • Garona was invited into the Shattered Hand off screen and by the end of the quest chain mentions she’s leaning towards taking up her offer.
  • The Mok’nathal are in attendance, where in which Rexxar and his father reconnect at long last.
  • Gorfax Angerfang is confirmed to be the Dragonmaw chieftain.
  • The Dragonmaw clan feel awkward about being with the other clans but are determined to move forward.
  • Thrall speaks for the Frostwolves for the festival, Drek’thar is still the chieftain.
  • Eitrigg speaks for the Blackrock clan, but its unclear if has become the Horde Blackrock chieftain.
  • Lantresor of the Blade attends and is of the opinion to just let the Burning Blade clan die out, since most of their members were evil and what. However after speaking with Horde Burning Blade loyalists he calls them his kin, while noting the oddity of them being warlocks and not blademasters.
** It’s unclear if he’s had a change of heart, in regards to the Burning Blade clan moving forward.
  • Aggra officially becomes a Farseer.
  • Durak is feeling pressured and is expected to be a shaman, since both his parents are. He personally is unsure of the path he wants to take.
  • During the festival we speak with the spirits of old past orc heroes (Durotan, Draka, Grom, Saurfang, Broxigar, and Doomhammer), who refer to us as the first seeker of true honor and reflect on things. For example Grom is filled with regret that he wasn’t able to guide Garrosh down a better path.
  • A lot of old orc characters are in attendance, like Nazgrel who has a updated model, Ariok, Thura, and Shokia who we can ask about how she feels her decision to side with Garrosh.
  • We get to pick a clan to represent/join, but it’s unclear if it was just for that quest or if there will go more involved with the choice going forward.
  • In the trial of spirit quest, we get the implication that Thunder Ridge is going to once more become the forest it was before Kul’Tiras deforested the region during Daelin’s invasion of Durotar.

Super detailed! Thank you!

Thura finally made her in-game debut hanging out at the kosh’harg which was neat. I also liked that Lantresor and Rexxar’s dad were there.

Aggra taking Drek’Thar’s place as Frostwolf farseer doesn’t feel like something she earned at all considering she’s never done anything, but also I don’t know who besides Thrall would be a better fit.

I AM SO HAPPY THE HUMAN ONE WASN’T SCARLETS AS THE UNEXPECTED ALLY.

Vanessa seemed the obvious choice but there was some datamined Scarlet armor and the heritage had a red version so it was a risk. But I’m very happy with the human heritage questline and also quite glad Vanessa finally got more of her due. Now she just needs to interact with Anduin so that the poor guy can have a peer his own age.

Orc chain was also very good, lower stakes but necessarily so. Some nice updates on the various clans and there were a lot of good updates around as well. And orc lore characters that have been missing for years being present is also a fantastic aspect of it. Thrall’s son seems like he’ll be a good orc character in the future, and his hesitation and uncertainty is endearing.

Both have very good optional dialogues as well, many even voiced.

Probably a stupid question, but was Durotan, Grom, ect green?

I feel like they would use their WoD models but…i like Green Grom lol.

I honestly never considered that. Would be good to have him work with someone doing charity work like he wants.

They were ghostly, so you couldn’t see a slin tone. With that said Grom and Durotan had their AU counterpart models.

Genuinely freaking impressed by the Orc questline. Pretty much everything I ever dreamed of. The Dragonmaw, Blackrock, Shattered Hand, Frostwolves, Burning Blade, Warsong, Bleeding Hollow, Mok’Nathal, all reestablishing themselves as proper clans, all properly renewing or soft confirming their allegiance to the Horde, all getting new characters, leaders, lore, all being set up for future plot relevance… Even a MU Shadowmoon rep… Ariok, Nazgrel returning…

This is just phenomenal.

(also, hi everyone lol, missed yall)

Apparantly so despite Durotan’s refusal to drink down the fel juice. Thrall certainly is. And Grom did drink down.

The green skin was because of the fel poisoning of draenor. not because of the demon blood. They never really explained why thrall had green skin outside of both his parents having it, so it must be genetic if the parents are affected.

I’m glad people are enjoying the Orc heritage quest line. God knows they needed a more down to earth questline.

It’s good to see Thrall acknowledging that maybe the orcs loosing sight of their clan heritage is what caused a lot of the orcs recent schisms

At least thats how I read it. I could be wrong)

IM a bit disappointed that the Humans don’t get a chance to choose a kingdom to represent. It feels like they all just want us to be generic humans under Anduin’s banner, which sucks as I would love to serve anyone but him.

What the heck, that is so much better than the human heritage quest. This really makes me want to roll an orc. So happy to see Gorgonna and Nazgrel show up. Any chance you have a picture of Nazgrel’s updated model? :eyes:

Best class.

It’s by class.

The little blue line, is from another player that walked by Nazgrel as I took the SS. I cropped them and the guy who was next to him out.

They shrank him. He was a large lad in TBC.

I approve of his new look.
