So I am sure this has been asked, but I haven’t run across a definitive answer yet, but for the Lightforged heritage armor, does it have to be done on a brand new, freshly created character, or can we take a character that was created from scratch, that isn’t anywhere near 110, and do a race change?
I have a lvl 40 Draenei warrior that I was thinking of making Lightforged, but I also have a lvl 30 Lightforged hunter I did up as well when I finally unlocked them in November last year. Was just trying to save a little bit of time is all.
You HAVE to have levelled from 20+ on a new char. When you go to race change into a allied race it tells you it wont count towards unlocking Heritage armor

General advice, paying to race-change a level 40 is not worth it for anyone. Those levels go by very quickly, even without heirlooms. (You do have heirlooms right?)

Leveling is super fast now. Takes me 3 days realtime to level from 20. Which isn’t too bad, all things considered.

I disagree. It’s up to the individual to decide whether it’s what they want to do.
I race changed my bank toon from a fem orc warrior to a goblin because I couldn’t stand playing an orc. Dealing with her possessions wouldn’t have been worth the hassle. And the last thing I wanted to do would be to put a new character through the goblin starting area.
Just learning here now, what level granting does RaF give? I only know of the increased EXP boost, unless they removed that too. I don’t recall what they changed with the RaF EXP.
They nerfed it so much, the only reason to do it is for the mount.

Every 2 levels the person you recruited gains, they have the ability to grant one of your toons a level up. I believe there is a level requirement along the lines of under 100 or something, but I could be wrong about that part.

It only let’s you grant up to one level under the grantee, and I’m almost certain it cuts off at 90.
Oh yes true, they can’t level up a toon for you that’s higher than they are themselves. Still, it’s a useful bonus.
Yeah I leveled my LF, Velf and Nightbourne using the RAF buff.
Do NOT have bonus levels granted under RAF, blizz said this disqualifies from heritage armor. Any leveling skips do.
As long as you’ve unlocked the Heritage armor, you can use it on any other characters of the same race. I leveled a LF paladin to unlock, and use it on my boosted priest character.

Yeah that was already said. I was just replying to someone else who didn’t even know you could grant bonus levels with RAF.
