Heritage armor on any race

I'm hoping someday Blizzard will unlock heritage armor transmoging on all/any race. For example your dwarf Hunter could transmog into the blood elf heritage armor (err not the best example but you know what I mean.).
Same thing with weapons that are class or race locked. Transmoging should not be restricted. This way players can truely make their characters as unique as they wish.
i like it being something you work towards for personally.
As unique as they wish while throwing all forms of lore/common sense out the window. A dwarf should not be able to look like a blood elf city guard.
dwarf in blood elf heritage? no thanks. perhaps all elves could mog into eachothers' sets, all tauren, all draenei, all titan races, etc. but not completely unrelated races like blood elf and dwarf, or tauren and draenei, etc.
It needs to stay like it is. /End of story. Otherwise it really wouldn't be heritage armor nor would that make them unique at all. They should never be wearable for all races.
No.
The only loosening of heritage armor restrictions I would support is Kul Tiran heritage armor being usable by normal humans, because unlike all the other ARs Humans and Kul Tirans are literally the exact same race, as evidenced by the fact that most Kul Tiran NPCs use the standard human model.

I don't think so its unique to the race it's meant for blood elf armor on an undead or Orc? Gnome armor on a worgen? It just doesn't fit.
They would have to remodel the lightforged armor to give it proper boots.

Using the Orb of the Sin'dorei gives me a bare footed blood elf lol

Transmoging should not be restricted.

This.

In another universe transmog in wow has no limits, and virtual dress up life is good.
I doubt it because that was what we/I originally thought it was going to be.

We/I thought that if you have to level up an allied race to 110(now 120), for Heritage Armor, that you could then wear it on your main. They later explained, of course, that you'd only be able to do that if your main changed to that same race.

Yeah, I thought the same thing with Kul'Tirans; "Oh, I'll have a long coat on this gnome!"

I lost all interest in ever leveling up an Allied Race.

Oh well, at least I'll wear the Gnome Allied Race Heritage Goggles. Those are pretty cool looking, on the head instead of covering the eyes too.
Hard no.

Hoping the Worgen set has the long coat.
Why wouldn't someone (Tailor/Blacksmith/What Have You) be able to copy the look of the heritage armors?

I would say it should be required they're unlocked by the player first, so that means lots of work, but I wouldn't see why a Drawf couldn't want to stick it to a Blood Elf and be all "Yeah! Look at me in your armor! Come at me you tall drink of water!"

:p
OP you are an unstoppable bad idea machine!

I could get behind this. Some restrictions should stlll apply. Letting any race/faction wear any set of heritage armor like the OP suggested is just silly.
Wouldn't that mean it isn't Heritage armor anymore?

It would also mean a lot more work for the artists, I imagine. If they initially designed an armor set that they thought was going to be specific to say, Blood Elves, then that same armor may not have been designed to fit a Tauren model.

Other than Light forged Draenei and Highmountain tauren you mean? The restrictions make sense, but they have never applied before, there are multiple sets in the game that are clearly meant specifically to say Trolls or Tauren or Nightelves but we were left with the discretion as to whether it was "lore fitting" or not.

As it stands the sets take a lot of assets for pieces that people generally only use full stop to show off that they leveled, they aren't much of a reward for someone like me who likes to mix and match, if I could use them across more characters it'd give me more incentive personally but each to his own.
