Heritage armor improvements

Now that we’ve had some time to see what kinds of armor the trading post is going to reward us with and we’ve seen more than a few interesting 3D back pieces added, as well as what was earned in shadowlands, I think it’s time to make some small adjustments to some old sets.

Namely, can we please get a version of the void elf “wings” that aren’t attached to the chest piece armor. I’m unsure if the Tauren totem is the same, but if it is, that should also be changed.

I love the wings, they are the most iconic part of the set to me, but I really do not like the popped collar and bikini look. It’s high time we make these proper back piece transmogs.

They should allow us to xmog the sets on any character, not just a specific race

Within reason of course… probably still keep it faction-locked since putting Tauren heritage armor on say, a Gnome, would look rather silly

I hate this about the heritage armor. All the good hairstyles clip into that stupid collar.

Goblins in Velf Heritage look nice lol. I wish I could post the pic I had when I was turned into a Goblin dude, was surprised he could wear it.

New Baine rewards are coming soon.

No sign of the weapons yet but they will be eating well this expansion for their heritage sets.

Which defeats the purpose of having them be the heritage armor for the race in question, so… why?

That being said, there are some that people will not use for much the reasons mentioned. The collar on the void elf one in particular is annoying. However, using certain pieces with other armor works; my monk uses the gloves, bracers, pants and boots, combined with the Tyrannical Gladiator chestpiece, appropriately a Mists of Pandaria PvP set (the colors match) and the Pennyroyal Belt (purplish pandaren rank cord).

What annoys me is that there are others that seem specific to certain duties, as it were. Most of the heritage armors (human, Lightforged, both the orcs, and both the dwarves) seem very specific to plate-wearers, for example.

taurens/hm tauren classes that can wield 2h mace can already receive a 2h mace totem weapon cosmetic from the baine questline
