What do you guys think the heritage armor will be for these two iconic races?
I thought it would be cool if they gave the original orc grunt and human footman new texture updates and have them updated in all its glory. It can come off as lazy but i can’t think of what else it could be.
I remember before transmog was a thing i would strut around in the Orc grunt guard in Orgrimmar and pretend to be a guard and fool around.
What do you guys/gals think?
Wasn’t this the Garrison armor? The Stormwind guard armor etc
Wouldn’t heritage armor for an Orc just be a loincloth?
I tend to agree that is the best option. When I think of orcs I think big red spiked shoulders and and leather looking tribal armor for the rest.
Same for humans, classic silver/blue footman armor.
Honestly Im surprised these two weren’t the first of the older races getting heritage armor sets.
By looking at the track record, so far all the new sets are either based off the current leaders or units (in an example of the blood elves). I could see a similar type of armor Anduin wears for the humans and maybe something what Thrall or Surafang wears for the orcs if we base the sets on leaders.
Well if its about race heritage I would think its better to focus on the race not just the allegiance. Humans have the Stormwind set in like 3-4 varieties already, give them something from their past, maybe Vykrul inspired armor.
I am at something of a loss for orcs though but a reskin of the grunt set sounds like a wasted chance for something new and interesting. Its made harder because we already have most of the Draenor tribal sets too. Maybe a ceremonial or leader set would be good. Lots of war paint and tattoos.
We have enough of the classic sets, updated ones too. If they make human/orc heritage armor I would prefer something new.
The orc heritage armor should be the blood of our enemies.
The human heritage armor should be whatever cowards wear.
