Heritage armor disqualification question

So I read blizzards post about what prevents you from acquiring heritage armor and I saw this part which is strangely worded:

“Having been granted Recruit-A-Friend levels from the old Recruit-A-Friend program while it was active will also prevent your character from receiving your Heritage Armor.”

Now my fiance “recruited” me back in April 2020 but I didnt start my Blood Elf until earlier this year. We’re wondering if she joins in a group with me since we’re still under the recruit a friend thing will that automatically disqualify me from the armor? The phrase was very strangely worded and makes me wonder if there is a new recruit a friend program…any help would be appreciated

I might be misunderstanding you, but the boosting or exp bonuses only apply to hertiage armors for the allied races. And specifically for RaF it was gifting free levels.

The same requirements don’t apply to Blood Elves, Dwarves, Tauren, Gnome, Worgen and Goblins. You just need to be max level and exalted with your respective faction.

Back in the day the recruit a friend program let you straight up give your friend levels. Like a rare candy. If you’ve done none of that you should be fine.

Like rogmarr said the old race can be
boosted
race change to get the heritage armor just need to be exalted
with allied race 1-40 or 50 with out race change or boosted
but with RaF i do not know about the free lvls

The restrictions are for allied races not normal races. All a belf requires is to be cap and exalted with silvermoon

The heritage armor disqualification rules only apply to Allied Races… Blood Elves, Dwarves, Tauren, and Gnomes simply have to be the correct level, how they got there is irrelevant.

As for your question… if you were to level an Allied Race with the XP boost from recruit a Friend you are fine… as the recruit you have nothing to worry about… RAF has a feature that allows the recruited friend to accrue “bonus levels” that THEY can grant to the player who recruited them… so if you recruit a friend and that friend offers to grant your AR a level boost, then accepting it will disqualify that character from being used to unlock that allied races heritage armor.
