Why is it that mythic gear which is the CREAM OF THE CROP for pvers who have to work hard with 20 other people to clear the content, it cost time, focus and a lot of energy to do still drops after the patch is long said and done?
Yet PVP elite gear which, also yes uses time and focus but in most cases you see people getting 2200+ raiting faster then most guilds come close to finishing a mythic raid is removed once a patch/season/exp is done?
Both are suppose to be cream of the crop experiences yet one gets fully removed with no hope or chance to ever go back to while the other can be farmed once you out level it. Doesnât that âremove the valueâ of mythic gear I.E its transmog value? Yet pvpers get to âhold the valueâ because they got a broken comp and yeeted out a bunch of people?
Just donât seem fair, I love me some transmog, And the elite sets are pretty dope in most cases, as are Mythic sets but again, one will never return while the other I can just, buy my time for and go farm up.
Solution? If you push your rating to 2200+ or whatever you can buy the season of current elite gear, but get a token to buy one of the older sets: This can only be done once a season and you canât just farm another one up with alts. It rewards the pvpers still but gives an option to get old Illusions/mogs hell even the mounts IF you of course have the rating to get said items. They should not be removed fully as again Mythic gear is not.
Sounds reasonable to me. It could work like the Saddles do now, where you earn the current season set and then can work towards older ones as you keep pvping.
I highly doubt we will see any type of blue reply to this or anyone who has any type of pull reply to this.
Of course this can be âone of the triggersâ they pull later for ânew!â âExciting!â content and put a system like this in to draw back older players/mog hunters. But it is a thought I have had for awhile: And donât get me wrong I am not a super pvper, I have not pushed ratings but if I have more options I will, Maybe alot of people will.
In legion the few sets I really liked I worked to much to even try and attempt this, but I still love the legion pvp elite sets: They are still on the vendors but for what reason if you canât get them?
IIRC Blizzard was considering doing this at one point, but they decided not to go through with it. From what I remember there was a lot of feedback from players who wanted the old sets to remain exclusive.
Personally I could go either way, Iâd like to be able to acquire the elite sets from old seasons that I didnât play a particular class in, but I also understand the prestige argument.
I remember that as well: But again that argument seems to hold little to know value from a players stand point of from blizzards:
MYTHIC gear is suppose to also hold a prestige to it. it comes from the âHARDESTâ content in the game that can take weeks for (the average/ânormalâ) guild to clear if they even can ever do it, But if you want an Exp a bunch of nobodyâs can go in and in most cases clear it with no issue: If you wait two Exps you can solo/duo it.
these are sets that also should hold high value yet they can be gathered by anyone, a casual, someone who never raided someone who âdoesnât deserveâ the prestige of wearing a mythic set, a set that on the back of people who pushed countless hours into is now a joke (content and difficultly wise ) And donât take my quote of âdoesnât deserveâ out of context: If you play the game and pay your sub you should have access to ANYTHING and EVERYTHING: but a hard core raider might look at you and go âno you do notâ
PVP is always the same: Get an over tuned over damaging or over healing class, go in, wreck everything and everyone while its early, get your gear/elite set never touch it again (in most cases) Yet there sets hold "prestige " It just seems, unfair and a bit of a broken system.
I too am not a fan of players being able to tmog into mythic raid gear while not being allowed to tmog elite PvP gear. The standard should be the same for both. Pick one
Maybe I opened a can of worms: A can no one might ever see (no one important at least from blizzard) and while I am in no way saying âREMOVE MYTHIC TRANSMOG!â because I mean, yes I go and farm it as wellâŚAnother part of me is saying whatâs fair is fair.
I always wanted to get the pvp elite pandaria set for DKs, I never saw 1 single DK using it. Why was it removed while I can go into the Mythic raid and get the Mythic set?
that is a great questionâŚ
I donât think these contents should be removed after a patch or a expansion, because it brings another problem: after several expansions you may end up never seeing some sets again because the players who conquered them simply disappear because they stop playing or change class.
And a new player, or a returning player, pays for an entire expansion and wonât have access to everything he paid for.
âoh but seasonal content should be locked up anyway because I want to be the only one to have the set because I have to show how badass I amâ
âŚthis type of player will change class soon, or stop playing or will never play in those old sets againâŚ
I understand that rare and legendary items must exist, but if no one else uses it because itâs locked, the only place for us to see it is on sites like wowHeadâŚ
Pvp players have always been treated as third rated players , be glad you are allowed a reskin otherwise they would give you a Toy that you canât use in instances like bgs and Arenas
Ehhh really? Third rated? I think PVERS get a harsher or as hard treatment if you donât raid you die if you canât learn you die if you canât work around hours of raiding you die.
I am. REMOVE MYTHIC TRANSMOG!
(I donât even Mythic raid, whatâs fair is fair and Iâm not giving up my Elite sets)
lol no. PvPârs having to raid to get gear for 2 XPacs is fine apparently but the moment PvEârs started doing arena, whoâs gear got nerfed and now has to have 2 ilvls? or how about leveling? compare BG XP to dungeon XP
Mythic raids didnât exist when pvp elite sets came out
Pvp elite sets were always advertised to be limited time per season
Most players donât pvp, its wrong to give a pvp achievement to someone who doesnât care about pvp
If they made mythic transmog time limited all the heroic and normal casual raiders that are not good enough to ever get mythic raid prog would cry out, and there are way more people who care about pve than pvp
Personally iâd love if they removed mythic transmogs after a tier just to watch all the non mythic raiders cry that they need to spend a few millions on a mythic carry
The PVE players who are playing for rewards have already left the game. Mythic raids now require a lot of time/dedication and practically give you nothing. A âcutting edgeâ achievement text. The loot is irrelevant as it falls behind or just slightly better than vault loot. Everything else can be farmed later or boosted.
PvP players never got screwed. The titles, the mounts, and the mogs were kept as something worth getting. So they stayed, they didnât leave the game.
Blizzard is simply servicing its current player base, not the players who left.
Iâm just saying if Iâve got elite sets on other classes and wouldnât mind getting those elite sets on another class. Especially if this conversation is about allowing the old elite sets to be earned via grinding wins above a certain rating.
