Here's a look at every class in SOD (As a whole, not just in raid DPS)

You can say they’re the top 3 in terms of support that’s fine

Faerie fire is a necessity for melee parsing it’s one of the 3 armor debuffs so that’s a requirement for any serious raid

Innervate and battle res are both great

Crit buff is greater, although not on the level of LOTP and wild strikes

Boomkin could use some love, but you can just respec feral if you want to do monster dps. I can’t just respec to some amazing solo class that can heal

I think druids are in a great spot. You’re also discounting their QOL and how well they do outside of raid which is, again, where we spend 90% of our time

  1. That was not relevant my post.
  2. I play an enhancement shaman and the default UI does not have enough buttons to bind keys use to for all of the abilities I use on a regular basis. I have a Tellmewhen suite of 37 icons over 8 groups to keep track of procs, totems, gear combinations, cooldown abilities, buffs, and target buffs and debuffs.

Do not complain to me about complex gameplay for warriors.

I can’t reply twice in a row so I responded to you, and then I did an edit response to the hunter rotation. The first sentence is for you

We’ve already established you just say things without offering up any substance or counterpoints in your argument. I can’t take your posts seriously, no offense

You would have to matter to me and be making valid points in the first place for me to take offense.

Neither of those conditions have been a risk thus far as your contributions have been biased and emotionally charged from the start.
That includes the origin of this topic which is a copy & paste of your post in another related thread, which you deemed necessary to create an additional topic due to a lack of traction for your post in the other thread of the same topic.

Tl;DR- this topic is spam.

Honestly I would be happy if balance druids provided more spec-specific utility that can’t be replaced, the DPS is what it is. It could be better, sure, but being super important to the raid would also be fine. The issue I have right now with balance isn’t necessarily DPS, it’s that most Druid utility is actually better coming from another spec because there is less opportunity cost for using it (downtime looking for battle res targets, huge mana dump on cast, not being able to innervate ourselves, etc). Resto druids have access to the 2% miss on Insect Swarm and every Druid can apply Faerie Fire.

Warlocks buff other casters by a huge percentage. Shadow Priests provide infinite mana. If you’re a horde druid, stormstrike takes care of the nature debuff, a debuff which doesn’t really do that much for anyone except balance druids and shamans themselves (although it does admittedly do something for Rogues).

A hit aura on Moonkin Form would both be super nice for the raid and solve a big problem Moonkins themselves have hitting the hit cap. Balance druids having a lower Innervate cooldown would make it more available for themselves (because it’s actually kind of weak on balance druids because of their lack of spirit) and for the raid. These are just ideas, but something worth thinking about.

The issue to me is just that the overlap hurts balance druids more than any other druid spec because the DPS is low, DPS is replaceable, and we use the utility worse just straight-up.

I would agree that it would be nice of boomkin had a bit more utility, maybe a caster/healer equivalent of wild strikes something that increases sp/healing or something

But then again, lots of classes have dead specs. It’s not like I can do much of anything in raid as arms warrior, it’s not like frost mage is doing much raid dps, it’s not like sub rogue is doing much, etc

It’s not like you don’t have a perfectly viable and actually great, chart topping DPS spec in feral

Classic is about the class, not the spec

I contend that this is something about Classic SOD was made with the intention of changing so I don’t really agree

Worst tanks in the game? No offense man, but how much experience do you have playing Prot at 60?

As a near BiS Hunter that can and will rip threat off of any tank, I have found that Warrior is by far the best tank to run 5-mans with.

I actually think Prot Warrior is one of the better designed SoD specs they’ve done. The problem is, there just aren’t a lot of skilled Prot Warriors running around. Most of the tanks right now farming 5-mans are Warlocks and Bears.

Great mobility, ability to easily re-position mobs, literal DK death grip, strong pack-to-pack AoE threat, mini world buff and numerous other CDs for threat and defense make them imo the best tanks for speeding through 5-mans. Vigilance buff for your DPS helps a lot too.

Warlocks can’t even hold aggro threat in half of BRD and Bears don’t have a fraction of the toolkit that Warrior has. Paladin has good AoE and CDs but doesn’t pump the fast threat like Warrior.

I’ll admit I don’t know much about Rogue tanks because my guild primarily runs Bear/Paladin/Lock but the few times I’ve done Onyxia with a Rogue MT on Ony was a disaster.

The poor rogue could not establish threat fast enough and kept getting annihilated. Rogue tanking was a mistake from the beginning, they should be kept as emergency Evasion backups or to help with adds.

Our guild has Rogue tank and does a pretty good job. He struggles a little with AoE threat but his TPS is pretty good. Also burst damage is a little scary.

Warrior dps is looking SOLID right now
If your dps is low it’s on you

I have no clue what your warriors are doing to generate that kind of threat. I’ve charged in, dropped a shield slam into TC and shockwave and immediately lost threat when our bear mangles once or paladin uses their shield toss.

I’ll entertain this even though as a level 70 BE paladin I’m not sure you even play SOD

I have run with mostly warrior, shaman and druid tanks and shamans/druids AOE threat is by far better than warriors. Warrior has a good tool kit and it’s true a skilled warrior can do ok, but if you’re just talking average player it’s no contest the other two are better. Even as a warrior in glad stance I pull off prot warriors sometimes, and glad stance damage is no where near rogue/feral/hunter

Edit: To Influenced

In your last raid you were 10th in overall DPS behind a mage, feral, another warrior, another mage, feral and 3 rogues

This is factually untrue as you can trinket kidney

You lost ALL credibility right here lol boomy is bottom tier dps right now

didn’t even need to read the rest to know its all bs

No, I definitely don’t play SoD, you got me! I guess all of this T1 and FR gear just magically appeared on my toon!

You talking about H2 Rag or Ony? Because Rag is literally gimped for Hunters unless you can position in the perfect spot and land your traps which rarely go off.

Btw, when you’re clearing a raid with an actual guild, your goal is to kill the bosses as a team, not pad for WCL.

Trinket kidney and then what, get blinded?

And what? I never called boomy a top dps spec. Are you mixing up what I said about feral?

Boomie is clearly not a good dps spec

Edit
Jandren,

I just cleared MC tonight on heat 2, first time in MC on my warrior, something you’ve yet to do yet despite being there for 3-4 weeks lol

you’re going to have to tell me where to find this free warlock epic mount you speak of
