So you won’t answer because you can’t.
I’d just love to know how Warriors are the ‘best damage best threat’ tank… I mean, assuming you’re playing deep prot, I’ve watched paladin tanks just spew threat by dropping consecrate and tossing out their shield, and no amount of shield slamming/thunder clapping/shockwaving is coming close to that.
You don’t have to do the most damage to do the most threat.
Elemental shaman is not the only kind of shaman…
They simply aren’t
we bless the other tanks with salv to assert dominance
One thing to note when you list warlock as “best solo pvp class”
One of warlocks biggest glaring weaknesses is counter ganking. Warlocks are probably the worst class to resurrect and attempt to flee or win a fight.
You can’t run, you have half health and mana, and 1000 of buffs and cast bars to get right.
Best dueler? Maybe. Best solo pvp? Ehh… All it takes is 1 death and anyone could camp you until you decide to GY res.
Also any class with +crit damage modifiers are USUALLY the best “scalers” and are typically weaker baseline/during the low gear meta and when they reach higher SP and crit levels they become literal gods. So calling them “not so good scalers” is kinda wrong and actually can’t really be judged until we are at higher power levels. Another thing, the crit damage is linked to destro, so even during low-gear metas, demons are strong baseline so demo or aff can make up for not having gear if it’s balanced correctly.
I also can’t help but think this was just a distraction to get to the point of “please buff warrior”.
Hunter should be top DPS as that’s the only thing they can do.
I disagree with this and wish they’d add a BM tanking spec so hunters can stop saying this nonsense
This is pretty off the mark, there literally isn’t a class in SoD with a more complicated rotation (not saying it’s “hard”, but no one else’s is harder)
Stopped reading after this
I’m sorry, but what?
You think a survival hunter has a more complex rotation than a fury warrior with 6 piece t1?
Could you please explain yourself in great detail?
Good! Cry more WHINER BABY
Explosive trap->chimera/explosive shot x2->freezing trap → kill shot/multi shot x2 → explosive trap → multi shot/kill shot->arcane shot as filler
There’s no standing around autoshooting lol, that’s classic hunter, not SoD, and if you miss a trap/GCD it basically bricks your rotation timing and your DPS falls in half. This also isnt factoring in serpent sting on longer fights, FD rune swaps for aoe->single target encounters/pulls, or hunters mark
Melee survival might have a simple rotation, but ranged survival absolutely does not (relative to everyone else in SoD)
Ah, yes, superior asinine rotations specifically designed for the adderall generation
100% in line with what classic is about.
I’m not going to comment on the minutia of this original post, but I will leave you some feedback.
When you are trying to do a comparison of classes as an argument to support whatever point you are trying to make, you do yourself and your argument a disservice when you use bombastic language without substance.
Examples
They are the worst tank for Threat and mitigation youre clueless.
No, you don’t, and I’m not saying anything about needing to do good damage to do good threat. I’m saying that compared to every other tank option, we generate less threat and are less reliable.
Yeah it typically makes sense when you can’t dispute the information of the post you should go after the writing style instead
To the hunter
So 4-5 buttons?
I’m sorry but that has nothing on the warrior t1 rotation
BT, WW, RB, Slam on proc, HS queued up every hit
Diamond flask, death wish, rampage, bloodfury or troll berserking, mighty rage pot, Recklessness
Bloodrage on cd, hamstring for windfury procs as filler, cleave in multitarget fights, sapper, battle shout + commanding shout, berserker rage if free gcd
Plus maintaining rage above 60 every 12 econds for consumed by rage
Plus rage dumping and switching to battle stance and back to berserker stance every 8 SECONDS to maintain t1 buff, possibly using sudden death proc executes to do this
And timing CDs so that they’re all active during execute phase for maximum dps
Your 5 button rotation is cute but it really has nothing on the warrior rotation
I strongly disagree with this. I still think Paladins and Shamans offer better support. Mark of the Wild is nice for resists but is otherwise probably the worst buff in the game, and even the resists get overridden by auras and totems. Also, Moonkin healing is trash. Like three big heals and you run out of mana, and the HoTs barely make a dent because you’re working with no talent support and half the spellpower.
The 3% crit buffs are pretty nice, absolutely. Faerie Fire is good but you can live without it. Innervate is great on cat druids because they don’t need it for themselves and they can use it with low risk, and bear druids can use it during phase transitions or whatever.
As far as like, universal druid utility that is extremely valuable, Battle Res and Innervate are basically it. Insect Swarm is sort of an unsung hero IMO, but again, you can live without it.
I just don’t know how this can be compared to blessings, totem buffs, DI/reincarnation for wipe insurance or whatever else. Most Druid utility is incremental percentage improvements to DPS or mitigation. Nice but hardly gamechanging.
I’d go so far as to say Warlocks have better utility than Druids. Stam buff, summons, free potions, soul stone, 20% damage buff via curses (!!!) for casters, recklessness, etc.
Druids have good utility but I think calling them the utility kings is overselling what they bring. Our guild is really hurting for warlocks right now. lol
Wow thats it? Sounds quite easy, i have HS or cleave on queue every swing timer, blood thirst to proc fresh meat, switch stance for t1 buff if not enough rage for cleave or HS, add whirlwind, apply rend, use bloodsurge procs as necessary, battle stance for overpower, rage dump with bloodthirst or execute, switch stance for whirlwind, all while checking my swing timer queues and I hit maybe 1.2-1.5 dps with world buffs and windfury. If I use reck and death wish I pull aggro so have to be careful there. If I try to pvp in fury I get spanked, not nearly enough burst while a hunter just launches explosive trap at their own feet and backpedal and do the same damage I need 4-5 seconds of swing timers to do with abilities.
