I might agree. By now the Realms list would be up, but its still on “no servers”.
I for one would love to have more downtime. Fix moar bugs.

They are not fixing bugs during the maintenance window. They are installing bug fixes that were agreed to in their production meetings for this window. Extending the window does not allow for more “bug fixes”. It’s usually from over optimistic scheduling or an “uh oh” moment.

I would agree with you if I thought extended downtime meant they were squeezing in more bug fixes, but I’m doubting that.
