Fire mage usually exposes the weak players and exposes the delusional 40 year old gamer who switched to the fire meta spec thinking he was a pro ret pally or bm hunter…then reality sets in.
It’s the most mechanically difficult spec in the game.
Here’s how you get better:
Practice on the dummy for a few months
Hyperthread wristwraps wont save you and will make you even worse…so those waiting to get that and thinking that’s why they suck I have some unfortunate news for you
This just shows you do not know how fire works. It is not a hard spec to play. it is just fireball until hot streak and use your fire blast or phoenix flame. Pop your combustion when you can actually take full advantage of it. The problem I see with almost every person playing fire is that they do not have enough haste and mastery. You need well over 30 percent haste and at least 25 percent mastery along with 4 tier pieces to make the spec work. Otherwise, the damage is just not there. You can get away with poor stats in mythic plus keys because of the pulls on trash, but single target damage will be low. I out dps fire mages as frost in H undermine because of this. I forgot to add that no one likes a long casting fireball. If you don’t have 30 percent haste, you are looking at a 1.9 sec cast timer.
I don’t like its playstyle. I did try too. I practiced on the dummies and in some dungeons and LFR.
It’s so spammy.
I actually had that same issue with protection Paladin as well. I could tank okay for the content I did. But when I went to increase my dps as a tank because I noticed I wasn’t doing as good as I could… I just couldn’t do it good enough. For the same reasons. Not hitting buttons fast enough is my enemy.
If you’re bad at Fire (myself included, I can claim okay at max) you’re probably really doing one or both of two things:
Misclicking or over clicking. It’s super easy to accidentally Fire blast twice or PF when you shouldn’t have. Don’t greed that final PF if the GCD is going to bleed into the hyperthermia
Using Combust at the wrong time. If you’re not going to get full value out of it (including the hyperthermia) it’s almost always better to hold it, unless there’s a walk or gap between the next pack or usage. Combust literally begets more combust, so throwing it at the end of the pack is going to screw you on CDR.
Delusional 40-year-old players… Okay that’s funny… I don’t know any 40-year-olds who play this game that isn’t having fun… They know its just a game so I don’t think there is any Delusion…lolol
Probably when actions per minute got above the number of GCDs in a minute, Haste became a requirement for so many builds and the movement requirement of fights skyrocketed and the number of mechanics on any given boss in a mythic became more than the number of mechanics for raid bosses.
Difficulty is subjective, but nothing about end game WoW (either PvP or PvE) is “easy” by anyone applying a reasonable metric.
Jersey Mike’s is better quality (they have amazing chicken cheese-steak subs), but Jimmy John’s is better for a budget.
I loved Quizno’s perhaps most of all for having banger soup and salads as well. Shame the parent company was horribly ran and squeezed their franchisees until they all went out of business.
Here’s why some are bad at Fire mage, because they are so afraid of losing hot streak that they pull extra packs for the tank, that aren’t in the route in 12 keys and then wipe the group. Stop pulling packs, let the tank do their job. Not dying is better than losing hot streak.
