Herbs Seriously Need an Adjustment

I had a bit of time this morning so I went to EPL to farm up some herbs. I landed at 6:28 am and hearthed out at 7:52 am. For those that are mathematically challenged, that’s 74 minutes.

In that 74 minutes of non stop farming, I picked exactly 6 plaguebloom, 2 mountain silversage and 1 dreamfoil. No one who’s even remotely honest can claim this is anywhere NEAR okay. In 2005 74 minutes of farming in the morning would have gotten me more than a couple stacks. The situation is untenable.

It’s not just lotus, it’s everything. It’s not okay. None of it. And it’s not okay to tell players to do without flasks, mana pots, LIPs, GFPP, mongoose, rage pots, blah blah. And of course that means to also do without enchants since those mats are insane, never mind that elementals are farmed to extinction.

IT IS NOT THE PLAYER’S FAULT THAT BLIZZARD REFUSES TO ADJUST OPEN WORLD RESOURCES TO MATCH THE POPULATION. IT IS NOT THE PLAYER’S FAULT THAT BLIZZARD ALLOWS BOTS TO FARM LIKE LOCUSTS FOR MONTHS ON END. IT IS NOT THE PLAYER’S FAULT THAT BLIZZARD REFUSES TO PERMA BAN SWIPERS.

And it is not the player’s fault that everyone needs to make a mage and boost swipers to afford consumes that were never a problem before. It’s time the community urge Blizzard to own their mistake and FIX it.

You’re kinda right but it seems Blizzard just doesn’t have this as their priority at all, so you should also work on your own way to deal with the situation at hand

It is the players fault for putting up with it though and continue giving Blizzard money

I kind of agree. Ten days left.

I’m done.

That’s a lot of anger just because you can’t pop a flask in raid.

this is your first mistake. epl is the worst place to get herbs in anniversary. you keep trying to play the game like its 2005, but its not.

i dont have this problem getting herbs.

can i have your stuff?

Ungoro and Silithus are solid for Dreamfoil and Mountain Silversage.
Felwood and WPL are solid for Plaguebloom and dreamfoil, and Azshara for dreamfoil.
I think Winterspring has dreamfoil as well.

You picked an herb every 8.2 mins avg.
Seems fair for high level herbs.

Might want to recheck your math before calling other people mathematically challenged

It’s exactly the same with mining as well. Even with layers swapping and trying to maximize locations with myself and a friend at the same time doing rotations we ended up with less than a stack of thorium each after about 90 min of farming.

WS is just icecap, silversage, and lotus. Dreamfoil comes from Dme, like 90% the servers dreamfoil.

That’s why dreamfoil and gromsblood are 1/2 the price of plaguebloom and silversage. You only ever really have to worry about those two, no one picks up icecap so it’s still cheap.

I don’t flask, I’m a hunter and use mongoose. That’s not the issue though, is it?

Seeing all the posts defending the status quo is a stark reminder that the average WoW player is, in fact, incredibly stupid.

i agree, the average wow player trying to be competitive on a 20 year old mmo with a skill ceiling of nearly zero and torturing themselves with full time job schedules to farm flasks and rank to 14 so they can kill vael 10 seconds faster in 2 months are really stupid

blizzard should step in and save these 35 year old men from themselves

No, it’s more stupid to be this angry and mean about what other people like on the internet. Truly, you’re a pathetic human being if you care and you need to log off, get laid, and get some hobbies.

. . . and fix their screw up.

Allow me to explain the current situation. Now, i cant use crayons here and the Rs arent going to be backwards, so focus up. Itll be a little difficult for you to grasp.

  1. GDKPs are banned
  2. Gold sellers know their pet addicts wont quit cold turkey. So they maintain their stocks.
  3. Gold buyers keep buying gold for consumables, mounts, BoEs, etc
  4. Gold Sellers - utilizing the tiniest bit of intelligence - realize they already control wide swaths of the commodities markets and decide to expand this further
  5. Market control allows them to dictate price. Dictating price allows them to artificially increase demand for gold
  6. Gold buyers buy more gold to pay for consumables
  7. gold sellers slowly ratchet up the prices on the commodities they control (lotus, plaguebloom, silversage, dreamfoil, arcanite/arcane crystals, etc) as doing so directly drives the demand for gold
  8. gold buyers continue buying consumables and commodities at the increased prices, sending all the gold they bought right back to the people they bought it from
  9. Gold sellers begin also slowly ratcheting up the cost of gold - because they can
  10. gold buyers keep paying the increased prices for gold
  11. gold sellers continue ratcheting up the cost of commodities and consumables
  12. gold buyers pay it
  13. the cycle repeats ad infinitum as it allows gold sellers to steadily increase their profits with minimal effort as they control both sides of the cycle (AH prices and Gold prices)
  14. gold buyers are too short sighted to understand whats happening so they seek to blame anyone but themselves
  15. gold sellers laugh their way to the bank because whats little Timmy gonna do about it? Not buy gold? Yeah right

And i can paste this in every thread you make.

Didn’t read. Go away.

prices are not actually that bad. theyre normal. Lotus is a bit higher than usual at this point in the game but thats only on a few servers. those servers have the highest amount of speed running guilds.

You’re bad at herbing
