I let them grab mob aggro as well …its a win win
Its never the multiboxers, more so that so many people are trying to farm that there is not always a lot to go around. And its not like there are 6 landmasses to farm some herbs from, its just one area.
I hope Blizzard remembers this in the future, either reduce the cost of production or increase the means of supply if they want to put a new herb/ore in a new zone. Argus did it pretty well I suppose compared to this, 3 new landmasses you could farm from. Never really felt dry of materials, of course for miners you could also just mine basilisks.
Cheaper prices are bad? You really want herbs to cost 2-3x more? Let me play the world’s smallest violin for the 1% of players who play the auction house or spend a significant amount of time gathering on a single account to make gold. The other 99% of players will rejoice at being able to buy their raid mats for next to nothing. I think you underestimate how lazy most players are. They just want their stuff and they want it cheap. It may be bad for you but it isn’t bad for most players. You don’t care about the moral issues of multiboxing or whether it’s “cheating”. You just don’t like having competition on the auction house.
Yeah, if you’re an herbalist.
LOL it’s video game, not a moral issue. But that doesn’t make it any less annoying, or any less bad for the game. The issue with having so many cheap mats on the AH, is that it makes it so that to have value, the recipes need more of them. It’s also bad for the average gatherer, since most gatherers aren’t multiboxing, it devalues the mats they gather making it far harder for them to sell at a reasonable profit.
Pro boxing arguments are really sad. I’d argue that the boxing community should be dissolved based on toxicity alone.
Oh and remember kids theres 0 advantage in pvp.
I agree its difficult to tell, but I generally judge by how many stacks are being sold by the one character, which often has a weird name like Xuqolcab or something. If I see 100 stacks of 50 herbs by the same seller, I know for certain is a mass farmer. Yes, it could be just a player out to make some gold for themselves but there’s also a good chance its a gold farmer. A character selling a couple of stacks is almost certainly just a player.
become an altoholic and farm nazjatar pearls for tokens, mail tokens to enchanter, disenchant and sell crystals instead.
Nice try to pass off a QQ multibox thread as an herbalist discussion.
Sometimes, yeah, but I’ve already mentioned in an earlier post of mine on this thread that others have let me see the flip-side when it comes to multi-boxing. I’m not against it, but at the same time, I can very much see where problems come about.
I actually forgot about the process of multi-boxing until people starting answering the thread and flaming over it
Can you tell me why the price is still between 40 and 80 gold a piece if multiboxing is supposed to lower the price?
Because the real crime is the price fixing.
Look, if there were alternate ways for players to get Zan’thid - say, an herb trader - this wouldn’t be a huge problem. If a multiboxer strips Naz’jatar, just head somewhere else and herb for something like Sea Stalks then trade them in for Zan’thid.
Oh, I wish it were that easy. If trainers were like Minecraft villagers and you could actually TRADE items for certain items that aren’t already considered currency.
They’ve been pretty garbage since Cata, to be honest.
Sure ya did…
Does poop always come out when you open your mouth?
Well, do you always come on the forums to argue like a child when no one else will?
Blame blizzard for all of us being forced to use toddler words.
Those two quotes contradict each other… and they are both yours.
Sorry you are butt hurt over being called out on your obvious anti MB thread.
You could have proposed a solution in your original post… but you didn’t. You ended it on a subtle reference to multiboxing.
The purpose of the thread was for discussion and ideas, not necessarily solutions.
In reality, there is no solution to multi-boxing that players won’t find ways around and there is no way to satisfy everyone playing the game. The last thing I am is butthurt over something so minor.
It’s not against the law to see how other people view the situation.
I’m only against the one click for multiple account actions, not necessarily mulitboxing. I am curious about the hard data and how it affects the economy. Do they hoard the stuff and make it more scarce on the AH or does it all go and they can barely keep up. It’s interesting. I think the wow economy generally could use a looking at for brainstorming new ways to compete with gatherers. I like the new AH though.
So you do admit this is a MB thread, and not some herbalist discussion.
No but it is tiresome to read the same dribble over and over and over.
Was the other “Do something about MB” thread not enough for you? Just had to start a second one.
