Is anybody else sick of trying to farm for these damn things in Nazjatar, only for the herb to be picked clean right in front of you by dudes with 400 clone accounts following them??
I just get my gold another way and buy my consumables. There’s no reason to try to competition with multiboxers unless your gold flow is really low and you can’t get your gold another way.
I farm for my own flasks and potions, and I haven’t had a problem. On occasion I do have to compete with a multiboxer, but I’ve found the best way to deal with that is to circle the area we’re mutually competing for in opposite directions. If the 'boxer is going clockwise, I go counter-clockwise. Maybe 1 in 10-15 gather attempts gets stymied by the fact that the node is cleaned out by the 'boxer, but I get most of the others I spot.
I can usually grab a stack and a half to two stacks in about 90 minutes, which is enough to get through a week’s worth of consumables for me.
I honestly have never come across one (multiboxer) and never noticed a shortage. Maybe I have great timing or luck.
Problem is 8.3 and BFA in general has been pretty barren for gold farming. Crafting professions are all useless, or are at the point where getting crafted gear is slower than just doing full mandatory full clears of normal and heroic and maybe some mythic when crossrealms open up to get a lfr quality trinket. It’s neat sure but so many things are complely useless. even at least WoD let you farm and trap clefthides for hides to make mats, the scrapper could be used to make useful gear for your mission tables. Fire could craft heroic entry level quality gear for any slot with a equip max.
Why don’t they just have a option to say, do a cleanable titanforging with titanstatforging and say, do like a 3/3 limit on it, easing each week or something.
Not a lot has changed on that front. They’ve been garbage this entire expansion. I’d like to force the person who thought up Expulsom to cut down the tallest tree in the forest with a herring.
Just say "Multiboxing is cheating " so we can start beating this dead horse until its a pink mist.
It’s not cheating if it’s making Blizzard money
If that was the case they’d never ban or suspend accounts for cheating or exploiting
If it was just one server at least it would only be a 5x. But since they can deplete each area, select a different person, and farm in raid groups way past the 26 cap (Combat log showed our server getting 26 unique alts picking each herb in one tick), it only seems like the instant despawn gets triggered a second later. If 26 alts all tick a node at once, they all tick it, it despawns a second later and they all get the herb i’d assume. After they deplete each server, they select a new alt to leave, and bam, new 1/26 shards to deplete. All on different servers with different economies. It’s not unusual to see 5 human players trying fruitlessly to try and compete with a multiboxer only to give up. They just deplete too many nodes.
It’s absolutely ridicolous and there’s basically no real way as a human player to farm gold. Yet before there were garrisons, great or not but legion rained 50k from the sky, and we can’t even farm the non gold dumps or fight over for 1k chests? This is a gold starvation and there’s no real way to make money in bfa for this game compared to prior expansions. We’re making 3-7k gp a hour money rates from cata while 50k for logging in gold showers came from legion inflating wow tokens 8x over the price we had in wod.
Zin nodes are sparse and slow to respawn, and recipes that use them demand way too much of the herb per item.
Design strategy obviously tailored to stop multiboxers rushing “the race to world whatever that 99% of the playerbase doesn’t care about”.
Time to de-nerf the nodes, and double their locations.
Nazjatar is a visually drab zone, too, and therefore not at all a fun place to casually farm (even if you can outsmart the multiboxing druids that turn it into “yeah just gonna log out and play something else”).
As in, people are actually paying for multiple accounts.
Multiple Subscriptions = More Money for Blizzard = Blizzard Won’t Consider It Cheating
Oh but there is! Be in a mythic raid guild and sell carries for the blue dragon!
Love, and git gud. Signed: Ion.
Flasks requiring 20 is pretty damn ridiculous, seriously. IMO, one max-rank gather should equal one flask at least 90% of the time. I can understand an argument for two gathers equaling one flask.
As things stand, it’s 4-5 gathers for one flask. Nonsensical.
I think you overestimate how much they make on multiboxers.
It’s still a shame that this isn’t considered cheating when it’s clearly an exploit and unfair to other players.
Not to mention the flasks also require a fair amount of a rare herb that’s basically a blue moon on the server already. Sure you can farm the 3g herbs, but blizzard so powercrept them that 90% of the herbs in BFA aren’t even used as much of anything.
Seriously take a look at the meta potions. Is there a healing potion that’s up to date that uses kultiras herbs?
Nope, it’s 2 zin
What about flasks?
It’s zin
But wait, it uses 2!
Sure, and there’s 60,000 of it and it makes the old 35k hp healing potions that are literally 7x worse and still less cost effective even at 1/7th the price because it has no use beyond being transmuted or milled.
PLease go back to the WoD system, where you had worthwhile gear and could pick up to 3 equips and have upgrade levels that opened up with each wing to say, upgrade your gear starting at say, a cheap 385 you could equip at 111, a upgrade kit to 430 maybe for 5k you could get for cheap at 120, more expensive 30k kits to take to 445 and 460, then cap it at maybe 470 for 50k and then maybe a really expensive 200k upgrade to make a 475 piece or something or a socket.
I’d wonder more how much they LOSE from people frustrated by multiboxers just giving up and quitting the game.
Multiboxing can’t be good for the health of the game. Never has, never will. But the developers keep banging on about “the health of the game” in regard to much less egregious things while turning a blind eye to what amounts to Blizzard-approved cheating.
Not saying I disagree but what can ya do. It is what it is.
Someone is always gonna be upset or complaining no matter what decision Blizz makes. There is no win if they keep it and no win if they don’t. Someone is gonna be mad.
