Now all herbalist’s that are not a druid have the Sky Golem to collect herbs. Great as that may be, but don’t you think it is about time there were other mount models that could be used the same as the Sky Golem? A mount that doesn’t have the same sporadic movements as the golem. One that isn’t so big & clunky. Just a choice of a few herb collecting flying mounts would be great.
They’re doing just fine with or without a mount ,but have a mount that could be small and better in movement would be nice.
Basil Bird? Fennel Falcon? Oregano Owl?

Soon, Bliz will do something about the Sky Golem because people complain it’s everywhere. Like the waterstrider. Do we want that whole story again? no. Buy Stirrups.

Stirrups are a great option to use on any mount. The point is more to do with mount models. Something different rather than having the one and only mount that everyone else has.
Funny, this reminds me of the water strider situation. Blizz had a chance to introduce new water walking mounts but gave us a recolor and then nothing else until they finally nerfed it with the mount equipment system (which they’ve done nothing with since its introduction).
I like having unique mounts with special abilities so a bigger variety of models for people that use them would be nice, but I fear that the sky golem may go the way of the strider eventually. I hope not, but it’s probably easier to break it and make everything homogeneous than to create new mounts.
The stirrups are nice where they work. I don’t even have to land to mine unlike a druid who has to land to herb. Combined with the “No more daze” mount equipment and suddenly my druid has a rival for gathering.
I have hundreds of mounts.
But I pretty much use only one.
This annoys me because I don’t particularly like the golem(s), because I only use other mounts when visiting old content so I mostly never get to play around with different mounts, and because my interest in new mounts is diminished.
I’m just going to have to use the damn golem again, so why bother?
Stirrups are a poor solution for many. I herb in 15 minute increments when I’m waiting for queues to pop, or flying from on spot to another.
Stirrups cost 184gold at the moment on my server, winter’s kiss is about 4. So I have to collect 46 winter’s kiss to pay for the use of one set of stirrups.
Or I can use one of the two sky golems.

I deer or some herbivore mount. And when you pick plants, it has an animation of leaning down and eating the it.
