Hey all!
Just wondering how I can get knowledge points in herbalism? I found the treasures in the world and have done the weekly. The only other source I know of is from getting random items from picking herbs that give 1 or 3 knowledge points. Yesterday I spent most of my time collecting herbs yet, got no knowledge point items at all
Is this the only way?
Any help would be appreciated!
The weekly knowledge drops, knowledge weekly, and knowledge treasures are the only ones I know of. Iām more disappointed that none of the paths are interesting so I find I donāt care much since Iām a druid herbalist and can stay mounted anyways.

You only get so many drops/treasures per week. Other than that you can spend AA to buy knowledge books. However you can also spend your AA to get Blue Tools, so you have to decide which you want first.

Thank you both for the reply. I had no idea you could buy books and +15 skill at that!
Buying blue tools however, where do I buy them from? Havenāt decided on which Iāll choose.
Thank you
They have to be crafted by crafters. So you have to find someone who has the recipe and then get them to make it for you. You can put an open order up but you never know what quality you are going to get,
Youāll need to track down a Blacksmith for the tools, Engineer for the mining accessories and Tailor/LW for the Herbalism accessories. They are 300 AA each, so they arenāt cheap as far as AA goes.

You get 5x1 KP drops per week and 1 item that gives 3 KPs. There is also the weekly quest given by the herbalism trainer that gives 3 KPs I think. Last but not least is the treatise. So⦠12 KPs per week.
Also do look into phial of truesight. It greatly boosts the number of nodes that you can see and each type of herb has a camouflage version at the first gather. It gives a perception boosts also so less time to get the drops. Perception gathering tool is the way to go in regard to the KPs drop. Alchemists make those.
Edit: I. Meant the potions.

Thank you both, I appreciate it. For AA, how do I reliably get it? Is it from just picking herbs? Iāve looked up guides and they all seem to be in regard to DF or, they mention AA but, donāt say how you make it. My herbalism character is also an Alchemist so a little worried about spending the AA and not having enough for making potions/flasks etc
You get 24 from the one time treasures (2 3-point drops in each zone per profession for a total of 6 points per zone)
You get 5 single point drops randomly from gathering
You get 1 four point drop randomly from gathering after the 5 singles are collected.
You get 3 points from the weekly quest off the trainer in Dorn.
You get 3 per profession once per month from the profession quests in Darkmoon faire (currently active until end of Saturday)
You get 1 point per week from Algari Treatise crafted by inscriptionists (It is BoP so you must use the work order system to attain these)
You can collect 2 per week (Only 1 for engineering) from Kala Clayhoof for fulfilling crafting orders I believe only from crafting professions though so not pertaining to Herbalism specifically.
There are one-time knowledge points you can get from various treasures around the new zones as well as some sold by vendors. (look these up i cant remember)
Random drops will sometimes drop from treasures/dirt around the new zones.
So not including the one-time stuff and the vendors/treasures⦠you can get 13 per week as a herbalist, and once per month for one week you can get an additional 3 from the darkmoon faire quests making that total 16 for that week.
I also stumbled on a VERY nice addon for tracking knowledge points. Itās called āWeeklyknowledgeā and once installed and loaded you can type ā/wkā and it will open a window with information for each of your characters, the knowledge they have collected so far each week, and what is still needed to be collected. I suggest getting it.

Oh wow, thank you so much for the detailed reply, that helps so much and is far better than any guide Iāve read. Iāll check out the add on and start looking around the net for any knowledge points I havenāt got yet.
Once again, thank you. I appreciate the help!
There is a weak aura that keep track of the weekly KPs you can get. I am not a big aura user, but that one I found extremely helpful.

Iām struggling to get more AA as an herbalist, is there like some cheat code for more?
Nope. There doesnāt seem to be any way to accelerate AA acquisition. Blizzard has made a point of killing earlier ones, like the original form of profession shuffling.
This is their enforced timegate.

I mean, thereās one way if you want to be incredibly degenerate about it.
Level a crafting skill, do all available Patron orders, swap to another crafting skill and repeat for as long as you can tolerate it.
They blocked the First Craft Shuffle for Trainer taught recipes, but unless thereās some system in place that prevents you from getting Patron orders for a third profession per cycle, I donāt see why that wouldnāt work.
