I really like Henry Cavill but he’s not a good pick for Arthas imo.
The great thing about Arthas in WarCraft 3 is how arrogant and snide his VA comes across as. Just not something I think he could deliver on. Besides I kind of think that Blizz would go bankrupt trying to payroll him.

A part of me wants them to make a Warcraft movie about Arthas, but a part of me also fears the potential disaster that the movie could turn out as. I really wish that Blizzard could somehow turn out a cinematic quality movie, but alas it seems too much to ask.

All I ask is they do a better job then they did with the first wow movie. split the stuff into a few movies and tell the full story or just don’t make movies at all.

Just because someone is an actor doesn’t mean there aren’t limits to their ability or what they can realistically portray. The only exception of course being Meryl Streep.
I also don’t see him as Arthas (personally) and I love Henry Cavill in all the ways.

He is a 100% dyed in the wool nerd. He loves computer gaming and he loves video games. Also Metzen said yesterday that you though Cavill would make a good Arthas.

This could be amazing if they didn’t use legend as a studio and went with a less cgi more action studio.
Cavill’s Geralt was about the only role I’ve liked him as, and I think that’s just because he enjoyed it so much. Then again, he’s basically just playing the video game Geralt.

I’m sorry, and I don’t mean this to be offensive - but I don’t think anyone on the WoW forums can know what his range is. You’ve only seen what’s been put into the world, you can’t know his abilities. You know what he’s done, not what he has the potential of doing.
