Won’t lie, I’m kind of sad to see the old dwarf put up his gun.
No more panther hunting quests? I am sure someone else will take his place.
Did he have a Junior? He retire as well?
He’s helping his dad in the Azure Span.
Eh least he’s happy being retired. And still asking us to kill things lol
Haven’t made it that far. Good to know
Oh, um sorry.
I am just now on the wagon riding with him. Ahhh the good old days… Wait… with him, Tiny and Junior! LOL!!!
TeH lIboRulz cAncOlleD tEh hEmEtS!!!shift+1!!
I’m sorry I think I had a stroke, what am I reading exactly?
Conservative speak.
I got everything expect for the last word.
I was wondering if we’d see him again. Something to look forward to when I get there…
To be honest, I don’t mind.
Back in the day, we helped numerous morally ambiguous or downright evil NPCs. However, in modern WoW, we don’t just play a random adventurer of dubious moral standing, but we play as “The Champion”, who is definitely a good guy and does good things, and generally we help those who are good guys. In saying that, Hemet was sort of a caricature of a turn-of-the-century safari poacher and not really a “good guy”, and as WoW has shifted his shtick of killing big game for the thrill of the hunt has fallen out of alignment with how the player character would act. Therefore, retiring Hemet and having us only help him in conservation efforts of the wild animals makes a lot of sense.
To be honest, some of the old Hemet related stuff was cringe. Hemet literally mows down 100s of animals for his own amusement, but the PETA stand-in are the bad guys in Northrend? Ok boomer.
Hemet and I have an understanding. I don’t ask what he does on his own time, and he doesn’t ask who buried a hammer in Harold Laine’s brain-pan.
People were complaining about the Time Skip not having in-game impact and only being mentioned.
I think this is a nice way to give it some in-game effects.
I understand. Man is getting old, eyesight is going and he can’t keep his gun as steady anymore. I’m just saying I find it kind of sad. Age wears away all things.
Sure, but it’s got its nice feeling attached to it as well. I mean, we’ve seen the man in different moments of his live, and now he’s retiring. While aging up has its bad things attached to it, of course, it’s also good when it’s a nice retirement.
So a happy kind of sad. Gotta admit few can say they actually made it to retirement in WoW.
If that movie with the pink elephant imaginary friend taught us something is that happiness and sadness can work together.
