Do you think it’s possible for someone like me to hit 1800 this late in the season? My highest rating is 1606, but my PvP item level is only 636, I have a mix of Conquest and Bloody Token gear but my PvP trinkets are blue Honor gear.
I’m not good at PvP, I have a physical disability so I tend to avoid it. But I just really wanted that Grand Marshal gear for transmog, I’ve wanted it since I first started playing, which was 20 years ago lol. I really thought I had a shot at it, but after winning my first 7 games it feels like every win after that has been followed by a punishing losing streak. I only have 17 wins out of 39 games played this season.
If I could just hit 1800 in Blitz once, I’d probably never PvP again outside of Comp Stomp.

If you can reach 1600 CR, then 1800 CR is definitely within reach. Climbing from 1500 to 1600 isn’t easy. Watch some Blitz tutorial videos, stay relaxed, play more Blitz games, and don’t give up. You’ll hit 1800 eventually.
1800 for the elite set (and vanilla PvP sets if you are doing it in Blitz and your class can use one, also any weapons your class can use)
1950 for the weapon illusion
2100 for elite weapons
2400 for tabard + elite title
2400 + 25 wins for strategist title

Personally I think this is a nice gesture but after seeing endless “shuffle/blitz boosting” thread titles, is this not…exactly that?? How do we, the collective forum hivemind, feel about this?
I feel like Blizz needs to fix their reward system.
Rating for rating’s sake (+titles). people who care about this want to be better at the game and push rating.
Put all xmog on a renown track. People who care about this just push rating because it is the only avenue available.
100% agree. I’m hopeful their ‘Season Rewards Rework’ in S3 is exactly what you described.

Around today if any healers looking for 1800. I’d welcome the chance to q some DPS for a bit.
I have a physical disability also, and today I reached 2.4 with my Disc priest, with my mage I am at 2.7 and my warlock is also 2.7. It has been a headache but I have achieved it, I hope to reach 2.7 with my priest too.
For us who have a physical problem (in my case my right hand was completely reconstructed) it is more complicated to achieve what others. In fact I started playing WOW more seriously when I was in rehab after my first surgery.
