I want to run an affliction warlock build, i am having trouble keeping track of dots. what frame in the Wow Edit mode manages that? if there isnt one what should i do?
Many will suggest weak auras and that suite does have a lot to offer. I prefer just a few addons to cover some of the needs.
Not much in the stock UI stands out. But here are some suggestions. Available on Curse.
Primary help for me is a good DOT tracker. Preferably one that has overlays or some visual tag when a DOT is nearing completion. There are some talents that cause extra damage if you refresh a dot in a certain window.
My current fav is NeedToKnow. It’s a little weird on the set up but covers all the bases.
Another good one is NugRunning. Haven’t used it in a while but I remember that it has a swirly visual indicator when to reapply DOTS.
Cooldown tracking is not critical for addons but I really like:
CDTL2 -cooldown timeline is my fav for tracking CDs. It plot them on a horizontal or vertical scale and you can see them inch to the end. Then they pulse letting you know it’s done.
You also may want to look into some name plate addons for DOT tracking.
Plater has some good options there.
