Help with Shadowlands Covenants?

I had to take a Prolonged break from WoW right before the release of shadowlands, so a lot of important information was lost on me surrounding the Covenants.

Basically, After playing through the Zones I really like the Maldraxxus ability, Bonedust Brew, and I didn’t care for the other abilities very much.

But, I don’t really like the Maldraxxus Mount or armor, I’d very much prefer to get the Night Fae mount, and Armor Transmog.

Is there any way whatsoever to Unlock the Night Fae mount, and the Night Fae Transmog. But still have Bonedust Brew as my covenant ability?

Edit:
Also, Icy Veins says it’s strictly Superior to pick Kyrian and Pelagos, My least favorite covenant, and my least favorite person in that covenant.

No :frowning:

So much for Player choice.

Just so you’re prepared: According to General Discussion, wanting to use a fun ability makes you a “meta slave” and you should be punished for it.

EDIT: Also, is this for your Monk? You really should go Kyrian. I was Necrolord at the start but swapping to Kyrian, my throughput jumped up by 30%. Also Kyrian utility (the phial) is vastly superior. The difference between covenants is NOT small, it’s pretty huge for us.

Hey I remember you from the Tinker Thread. This is Liianas again, Just on my main, not my Forum Facade. Hello Again, Fuzzball.

And my choice goes pretty directly against the Meta, since I don’t like Kyrian at all.

I really Don’t care.
I play Brewmaster, and I can do basic math. I know that a Flat increase to Mastery is an insanely huge benefit. But I hate the Kyrian Aesthetic, I hate the “alliance-y” taste it leaves me with, I hate the zone, I hate the armor, and I didn’t really get along with any of the soulbind characters.

The Kyrians could give me an ability that instantly kills any raid boss in the game, and gives me every single item in their loot pool. And I wouldn’t take it.

I Just want the fun ability, that hits really hard, and I want a nice set of armor and a mount I enjoy

A lot of those icy veins guides are out of date now. I know the fury warrior guide still recommends Venthyr but Night Fae warriors are doing the most AOE and Single Target dps. You might want to check other sites that have actual player data.

Switching covenants isn’t too hard to do. Switching back is the bigger pain. I don’t know much about your spec but there are a few high ranked necro and night fae wind walkers. So I would pick what you find appealing and then switch if you decide it’s not for you.

On the plus side, horrible things happen to the Kyrians throughout the campaign (and Anduin just stabbed the Archon, as a bonus) and you can laugh at them every time from a front-row seat.

I Just think it’s annoying that there’s only one covenant I like the “Look” of.
But their covenant ability is so boring.

It could be worse.

My favorite covenant is the Venthyr, but the Brewmaster Venthyr ability (Fallen Order) doesn’t even do anything for tanks. It’s just a DPS ability that does less damage than Kyrian Weapons of Order, and on a longer cooldown to boot.

This fact that cosmetic rewards and player power are tied together is one of the most common complaints of Shadowlands.

You’re right, It could be worse.
I’m kidding, to each their own.

The Venthyr ability is legitimately the worst. It is just a non-interactive DPS cooldown with nothing interesting about it.

Maybe… after the expansion you might be able to use all of the Transmog once the abilities go away… Maybe.

That’s certainly coming. It would be ABSURD if we enter the next expansion and can’t use the stuff from this expansion.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Blizzard won’t try to do it anyway. But something that ridiculous seems like a step too far even for them.

Well that means I’m stuck between cool armor and an Ability I don’t ever want to put on my bars.

Or: Getting the Armor and Mount I want from the expansion. And not using Bonedust Brew.

Woe is me.

No. And please God go Kyrian or else you’re going to hate your life.

Believe me. If I go Kyrian, I will hate my life.

I hate the Kyrian too, they’re worthless and stupid.

I just focus on the Stewards. I like them.

Steward voices make my brain hurt.

Then of course, I don’t get the ability I want, or the cosmetics I want.

Because Blizzard couldn’t think of a better ability than “Here’s 13% mastery! Have fun!”

Maybe I’ll go Necrolord. I Don’t hate the way they look, I’ll just pretend I’m playing Darksiders 2.
