Help with Port Forward for WoW

For about 3 months now, I 've been having constants DCs during my day playing wow. I’ve summited tickets and opened threads here to try to solve the problem.

I’ve tried all possible solutions and tricks, IP config thing, updated drivers, change ethernet cable and so on. Recently I 've been reading that a port forward may work but I don’t know how to do it.

Can someone give me like an updated guide in for the whole process please, ill be much appreciated.

Hey Aurigha,

Port forwarding will generally not give any positive results for stopping disconnections. If the ports were blocked you would not be able to connect to the game at all.

We previously had info on what ports to forward for WoW, but that information has been removed since it was not needed for the vast majority of cases. Currently we have this article.

Something else that you could try would be to turn on QoS (Quality of Service) if your router supports it, as that can sometimes prevent disconnections with certain network setups. You would have to find your router’s info and/or manual to figure out if it supports QoS and where to enable it.

One last thing to keep in mind is that while you can do all of the troubleshooting possible on your PC and home network, disconnections can still be caused by problems between your internet provider and the game servers. One way to determine if it’s a problem along the path to the server would be to try connecting through a different network, mobile tether/hotspot, or use a VPN temporarily. Each of those would change the route your connection takes to the server and back. So if the disconnections stop when connecting differently it can be useful for determining if it’s an internet provider issue.

Thanks for the Inisights Jambrix, problem solved! All I had to do is to call the internet provider and ask them to change nat 3 to nat2 , I dont know what that is but it worked.
