Penance. Good ability. Irritating to use for me because of mouse over errors. I’ve lost count of the time’s I’ve targeted a boss or mob and a player has run in front as I click and I ended up healing them instead. Anyone else suffered from this and found a decent workaround?
I can make a heal/harm macro but that feels clanky for what should be a simple core ability…
I personally have two key binds for Penance, I have a mouse over macro for healing party members and a damage macro for damaging. Yeah it kind of sucks needing two different binds but thats just the way I found it too work the best.
It’s fair. Annoying, but a fair solution.
I use vuhdo. So penance either is targeted at my healing frames or the target im dpsing. There is no macro
Try two different buttons for penance for instance I had one on my Q key for enemies and one of my F key for healing
Ive gotten into muscle memory that i hold right mouse before clicking penance so it fires off at my target enemy, since the cursor disappears.
Penance and evoker living flame both have two binds for me, its annoying to be sure but it keeps things consistent
