Help with PC/GPU advice

Hey everyone. I know very little about computers and am hoping to get some advice on improving my WoW setup. I’ve been doing research on graphics cards, and it looks like a 1050 or 1060 is probably my best bet, but before committing, I figured I’d ask here.

I have a relatively new computer, but it is by no means top of the line. It’s an Inspiron 3470 which has (I believe), an i5 processer (9th gen?) and 12 GB Ram. I’m running the game on recommended setting 2. It works well enough, but I’d really like to get that up to at least a 7. I don’t currently play any games on it other than WoW, so my needs are pretty limited, though if the difference of 100 bucks or so makes it capable of better gaming, I wouldn’t rule out the purchase.

I’d appreciate any advice on how to get this thing nudged up a little higher so I don’t lag in the rivers of souls anymore and maybe even see further than twenty feet into the distance.

Looks like a slim form factor, so you may not be able to upgrade it.

It’s possible a low profile gpu with no pcie supplemental power cable card will work - but it depends.

If so, a 1650 low profile might work.

Sal’s right as your options would be limited to low profile cards. The GTX1650 low profile should be able to handle WoW at level 7 60FPS at 1080p but it’s pricey. You also have the GTX 1050ti low profile that costs less but you may have to dial the settings down to lv 6 or 5 (or play at lower FPS like 45 or so)

I appreciate the replies. I will look into those options.
