Help with mythic lockout

If I killed a Taloc or any boss in mythic uldir and leave to continue later, how can i go back to the instance i was? Could i make another group and then go to uldir and reset it so it d be the same instance i previosly was in? What are my options?

  1. Make your own raid and work on the next boss. (but if the raid killed more bosses after you left, you would be on the next unkilled boss).
  2. Join a group with someone that was in the raid where you killed bosses.
  3. Start from scratch on the next Tuesday.

Ty, and how would I be able to know which bosses the raid killed after i left? Would it be updated in my raid mythic info?

Should be.

Ok, and if i make my own read to continue my instance with another group, how do i reset the raid? should i walk in and reset it to my id, how could i do that?

you cannot reset mythic bosses. once one is dead it is dead and you must wait for the next week.

yes i know but how do i do it so when i enter it d be the same instance id, or should i just create a group and go in there and it will instantly have the same id?

The way it works is…

IF you kill a boss in mythic with a grp - all 20 of you (or however many were in) will be saved to the SAME ID.

now…

If you leave and the raid kills few bosses - you are saved to the EXACT bosses the raid killed…so you can’t go back and kill the bosses you missed. Think of it as a perpetual dungeon without re spawns.

If you want to go back to the same ID - you simply enter the mythic again (granted there arent 20 ppl inside already). You will be presented with whatever is left of that ID.

if you want to go back to an ID from last week (granted you have not entered a new one this week), you simply click the extend lockout button and extend the raid.

but i take it if i enter i should do it as the raid leader, right? and only if there arent more players inside already

it doesnt matter if you do it as raid leader or member, you will ONLY go into the ID you were saved to.

Only time you want to be raid leader is if you want OTHER people to also join your raid ID (they can not be saved to another ID themselves to join you though)

yeah, i dont understand it, because i tried to join other groups in mythic uldir and when i went to uldir i couldnt enter it

what do you mean couldn’t enter it? did you try walking into it? You won’t be able to get summoned from a different ID. Or tehy were full.

I only killed taloc in the instance i run, then i joined another group who was going to kill mother. I tried walking into it and couldnt enter, so its very confusing to understand how i would be able to go back to the same instance id

well if you killl taloc in an ID, you wont be able to join MOther in another ID anyway, but I’m not sure why you weren’t able to enter at all.

Maybe they were full.

Maybe the raid lockout functionality changed from entering your own ID’d instance to not at all if the ID’s don’t match.

Either case, you can’t kill Taloc in one ID and join MOTHER in another ID, that much is a fact.

yeah, thats what i want to understand. If i leave after killing taloc and that group disbands, Id like to know what do i need to do to re enter that instance despite everyone left with a new group and continue.

if you are saved to a mythic, and want to bring a new raid group to your saved ID, you need to be raid leader. If you’re raid leader when you and the rest of the group enter the raid, they’ll go to your ID, so long as they aren’t saved to a different one.

If you want to continue your raid run, you would have to make a group yourself as you are already saved to the raid for this week for killing Taloc. If you join a new fresh group, you will not be able to enter the raid because you are already saved to your own specific raid group.

The only way to continue is to make your own group (Leader of the group) and invite other players despite everyone that joins your group will not have access to kill Taloc as you have already killed the boss previously and it will carry over to all the members of your new group.

So, I d have to be raid leader and can only invite players who are not locked into a different ID, right? Because otherwise, they would not be able to enter

Correct. Only those that have not run the raid for the week is eligible to join you. Just know that when you invite the other players, they will not have access to Taloc kill.
