Help with my DH please

I really am enjoying my DH. She’s Havoc (if that matters). I think I am doing something wrong because I keep dying. I’m doing everything that Icyveins is telling me to including talents, rotation, etc. I’m thinking it’s my gear but I don’t even know where to start lol

I recently leveled this guy and died a lot too. It gets MUCH better later. When my wife decided to try Havoc, we paired up. She still died but usually from falling off stuff and forgetting to glide. With the experience buff, we leveled her in a few hours. I think it still has a few days so, depending on how much time you have, you should start feeling stronger very soon.

Unfortunately getting a 404 error trying to view your profile, did you recently server transfer perhaps?

My suggestion is look at https://www.wowhead.com/havoc-demon-hunter-guide for dh info, its written by Kib who is also the head of the dh discord. So its reliable info.

It used to be easier during Legion.
We had more leech, so leveling was ez pz
The other route is to go with Veng. for leveling.
Just cluster up as many as you can handle.
Tank Dungeons and what not.

DH is rough until 110, as you lack Demonic until then. If you get in trouble, remember that Chaos Nova gives you both a short breather and can spawn souls to heal you up. Blur is also a quite short CD and is exceptionally strong at keeping you alive.

But really, once you get to 110 and get Demonic + Soul Rending, you’re golden. So much leech.

Hey Xaedys, off topic- but i was wondering if you had a weak aura for reverse magic havoc DH? thanks (i saw your weak aura for consume magic and it really helped)

I do not, simply because I don’t PvP. What would you want it to track? Simply having a magic debuff that can be reversed? Or only certain ones? Any additional criteria?

My guess is a WA like that would be for when your teammate is in range and has reversible magic effect on them, but I don’t know something like that is typically possible.

Surprisingly, it is in fact possible. Range and debuffs can both be checked for party members, and I think you can even use precision range/position checks in PvP (I know it’s disabled in raid combat, I’d have to test in PvP). In either case, 10y is typically one of the available test ranges even in imprecise mode.

Basically, this is the same mechanism that DBM uses to tell you if one of the mouth breathers within X yards of you has a >X yd AoE debuff on them and to GTFO.
