Have you tried a full UI reset?

Try that see if it removes the LUA error.

Good Afternoon All,

I have the same lua error. (as far as I can tell)

I’ve tried the ui reset… deleting caches, WTF, Interface… as well as uninstalling WoW entirely, then reinstalling.

I can’t get rid of this problem. I know I can turn off notifications, but the problem itself is nightmarish. I really don’t enjoy playing without the objective tracker. (makes WQ’s so irritating)

Have I missed anything?

EDIT: I have also deleted all of my addons. No exceptions.
EDIT2: I’ve worked out that this only occurs on my main, Charfiend. Even logging into Charfiend on another computer produces the same effect.

I’ve got the same issue, exactly. One character only. Pretty frustrating Blizz

It is better to make a new thread rather than bump very old ones.

But the advice is the same - this is a UI problem and the fix is doing a UI reset. The instructions are posted above.

Please try going through the steps below.

  1. Run these commands in-game in chat:
    /console synchronizeConfig 0
    /console synchronizeSettings 0

  2. Delete your character folder:
    World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF\Account{Account ID}{Realm}{Character Name}

  3. Log back in and see if the issue is resolved. If so you can run these commands:
    /console synchronizeConfig 1
    /console synchronizeSettings 1

did not work when i saw similar.
hope that helps

also you should have instructed how no to lose you UI settings.

by that i mean the edit mode changes i did are gone and i cannot seem to recover

edit: logging into another character with it and then back to my one with error allowed me to get it back

This thread is 6yrs old, edit mode didn’t even exist then so how were they able to warn you?

If it always best to start a new thread if the one you are looking at necroing is older than a few weeks.

crap it is,. lol i was looking at the error. didnt even notice the date. ty
