Help with horrific visions

I have my monk geared as mw for pvp, I don’t have close the right stats yet but mainly have haste and verse gear on rn. The ilvl is 465. I hate doing them on mw spec because I can’t kick the some of the casts that stun me and one shot me, and I can’t kill fast enough to avoid it. I therfore have been switching to WW, but I am literally doing 18k dps. I am using the usual rotation. On literally every other dps I have at ilvl 420 is doing more. I don’t know if it’s because I have useless haste on it, but that little of dps I just can’t believe how it’s that low.

The last 2 xpacs haste been one of our worst. However I do have haste builds for corruptions like infinite stars (which I find useless in visions.

What kind of setup do you have for your traits in ww, as well as talents and essences.

I watched some videos of MW 5 masks full clear. Reason being for healers all mobs and bosses have 40% reduced health. So technically it might be easier. Try to see if you can find some insight from those videos.

I’ll look up those videos for mistweaver. For ww I have my mw gear on that i use for pvp so I have like short bubble and thunderfurry so doesn’t help. Then I go Iris major, then breath, strife, and vision.

That’s your problem, even 430 azerite armor with ww traits would be better than 460.

Should be your major as a ww for visions

Speaking of WW in visions, is there a worse ability for encounter interaction than whirling dragon punch and visions?

  1. it drops a pool from burned bridge mask under you when use it.

  2. It triggers hot feet, knocking you backwards.

  3. It causes you to gain 4 stacks of leaden foot when you use it.

  4. It DOESNT count as a jump for removing the bug one. Super minor but just annoying that with all the other issues I feel it should at least do that…

It’s amazing how badly it interacts with visions (but I still use it).

Why are yall still using it then? I don’t even bother.

Because it’s a fun ability, looks cool, and they are easy enough it doesn’t matter?

I’m just amazed at how badly a single ability can interact with a given zone.

Yeah it sucks, but I will be annoyed if they changed it

IMO it’s the zone with the issue.

There is no reason an attack should trigger burned bridge, hot feet, and gain 4 stacks of leaden foot…

I don’t disagree, however wdp counts as movement and it has a very powerful niche to reset yourself.
I have lived from push backs off cliffs and resetting my fall like wild charge+travel form, kept from getting pushed from bosses, automatically removes chill like effect and a few other things I can’t remember.

To change that is 2 ways: change the ability to no longer be considered movement, destroying the niche, or do considerable programming to change that it doesn’t trigger those kind of effects.

Doing the second would probably take a decent amount of coding, which takes manpower, on something so small wouldn’t be cost effective. Especially since we are the least represented D:

It’s funny that it doesn’t count for removing the bug madness despite all this.

Yeah it’s fine it is what it is and I don’t expect any changes (and wouldn’t want WDP changed) it’s just kinda rediculous.

Because it’s not a jump

Nice.

Literally “jump” upwards and apply vertical motion but not a jump.

Hey man I didn’t program the thing, also that is just a visual description.

Hehe yeah I know.

I’ve started doing visions on my ww monk a few weeks ago (one of my 15+ alts).
And that is the most stressful thing about this class in visions.
I haven’t visited the monk forums, so I’ve searched this section if some people have mentioned this.
I can not believe Blizzard has not fixed this yet.

I understand if regular jumps are considered as movement, then yeah sure.
But regular jumps are not considered as movement, so whirling dragon punch shouldn’t be either and should not spawn that pool under you.
Whirling dragon punch also knocks you back when you have that Scorched feet as an affix, which is also stressful.

And if you’ve play monk, I’m sure most know the bug where you’re kept in combat for a while after you use Fists of Fury. This makes Leaden Foot last a bit longer even if you’ve finished killing all mobs.
I’ve read that this Fist of Fury bug has been in-game for a long time.

It really makes Blizzard look incompetent and makes me worried about SL being launched before its even ready. (the above reasons are just a few out of many)

You’re basically moving vertically/upwards like jumping.
If moving upwards is considered as movement, then jump should be considered as movement as well.
You’re not even touching the WASD keys, so it should not be considered as movement imo.

It makes Whirling Dragon Punch an annoying spell to use in visions, which should not be the case.
Are there any other spells in-game where it spawns that pool underneath you or knocks you back (scorching feet) when casting spells (without touching the WASD keys)?
