hey returning player, I have a corrupted item id like to remove the corruption for but I can’t seem to get into the chamber of heart and my friend thinks i may have accidentally dropped the questline.
can someone please help with where the questline goes so that I may retrace steps and do all the required quests to get to MOTHER.
In order to cleanse corruption, you’ll need to progress into patch 8.3 content. Looking at your character it doesn’t appear you’ve been to Nazjatar yet, so that will be your first step.
Look for Genn Greymane on board the Wind’s Redemption (The alliance ship in Boralus Harbor, he’s toward the front of it) and see if he has a quest called “Send the Fleet”. You may also have a quest already accepted in your log called “The Wolf’s Offensive”, which sends you to him to obtain Send the Fleet. If he does you’re all set. That will get you started into the Nazjatar questline.
Progress through Nazjatar until it sends you to the chamber of heart to unlock essences. Onces essences are unlocked, the next time you return to Boralus, you’ll have an automatic quest pop up called “Return of the Black Prince”. This is the quest that starts you on your way toward obtaining your legendary cloak, and by extention, opening up a new option on MOTHER to remove corruption from items.
Once you get the new cloak however, you may not want to remove the corruption that you have (assuming the one on your weapon?). The cloak will counteract some of the corruption on the item, lessening the negative effects of it.
All that said, if Genn doesn’t have “Send the Fleet”, come let me know and we’ll see if we can narrow it down further.
