Hey everyone! I am relatively new to WOW and I’m having an issue I hope someone can help me with!
I’ve recently started working through achievements and I got to the Badlands Quests achievement and can’t seem to progress. I’ve completed: Rhea, The Titans’ Knowledge, and The Day that Deathwing Came. For some reason I skipped over The Fate of a Dragonflight entirely and now I have no idea how to complete it.
First, check if you have marked trivial quests enabled in your map. Second, there are add-ons you can download that will list all the available quests in a zone. I forget the name but just search curseforge.
I think you need to go to New Kargath. Also, the addon, “BtWQuests”, will show you in great detail which quests you haven’t done, and then you can look them up on WoWHead for more details.
I had this problem in Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley (Outland) and someone here recommended the add-on Quest Completist.
I installed it thru Wowup, looked up the greyed out quests on Wowhead, found the start quest of the questline, visited that NPC and, voila, I was back in business!
Okay I had to look up a couple of quests and visit a couple of NPC but it still worked… eventually. (To pull up the window, you type in /qc)
“The Day That Deathwing Came” is absolutely epic. The only quests I can think of off the top of my head that I may have liked better is the “Welcome to the Machine” chain in Hillsbrad where you are the NPC.
I got Loremaster back in the pre-Cataclysm days, and I always intended to go back and do all the Vanilla zones that got redone with that expansion, because I’ve always heard that they did a fantastic job with some of those zones, but I just never got around to it except for a few zones here and there while leveling alts.
However, with the announced wording changes to the “Maximillian of Northshire” chain and the “The Day that Deathwing Came” quests, I recently finally went back and did both Ungoro and the Badlands so I could experience those quests before the changes. I did Ungoro first and then the Badlands, and Badlands was so good that my new project is taking alts through all those Vanilla zones ASAP to experience them all because I’ve really been missing out.
