Hi everyone,
I’m a new player to WoW (just started playing a month or two ago), and I’m really liking the storyline in Legion and Argus.
I’m currently stuck at one part in the Argus quests, the one where Illidan gives the quest, and I have to complete at least one invasion point.
I’ve tried to solo it many times but kept dying.
I’ve also tried using the premade group finder, but can never find a group for it. I’m not in a guild either so I don’t have people to help me out with it.
Questions
-
I hopped to the BfA storyline, and am leveling in BfA now. If I level to 120 then return to the Argus quests, will I be able to solo the invasion point (frost mage), or will the mobs still scale to my level and be impossible to solo?

If anyone here is willing to help with the invasion point quests, please let me know so I can add you, and hopefully we can find a suitable time.

Because Invasion Points were “end game” content for Legion, they should not scale any higher than 110, so you should (theoretically) be able to solo them once you reach 120 and get a little bit of gear.
If you can’t for whatever reason, I could probably help you out at some point this week if you’d like. You can add my btag Shiro#1775. I’ll be online for my raids tonight and tomorrow night for sure, so you can message me then and we can set up some time for it or (if it’s early enough) we can do the invasion right then.

Thanks for the offer!
I’ll add you and try to see if I can get online.
I am also having the same issue. Just starting up the game again recently and have been trying to get the allied races. I can’t get past the invasion point part of the story quest. There seems to be a lack of interest of in invasion points currently. I can’t find anyone to join a party for it and can’t not find a premade. Any help trying to clear invasion points would be appreciated.
Same as I did for Lyii, I’m happy to help whenever I’m online. Just add my btag and toss me a PM when you see me online. We did hers in under 15 minutes on Tuesday.
Thank you for the offer! This is big help! I will add you and try to connect with you as soon as I am able.
Sorry for the necro, but IMHO this is a huge oversight. (Just getting back into the game, running into the same issue). You’d think they’d have made the lower-difficulty invasion points soloable at 110 just for this reason.
It’s “dead content”, so Blizzard has less incentive to go back and change it. It’s basically “well, they can solo it at the new level cap, and it’s not ‘primary’ content, so there’s no reason to change it”.
Are Legion world quests that easy to solo at 120?
In short - yes.
While the rewards (except for gold, reputation, and maybe transmog) are no longer truly relevant, a level 120 character in 385 gear can easily solo even most of the Legion raids on Normal difficulty. WQs are a significantly lower level of difficulty compared to that.
Basically, because WQs are content which requires being at level cap in the first place, the difficulty does not scale past the maximum level of the expansion they are from. This means that Legion WQs are scaled for level 110 players in Legion gear, and therefore present significantly less of an issue for level 120 players in BfA gear.

Cool…I’m going to attempt a WQ at 115 first though. I want to get “You Are Now Prepared” ASAP. I have RP plans for one of my Blood Elves to join the Void Elves.
In that case, I would recommend looking up which two Legion legendary pieces are/were best in slot for the class and spec you’re planning to do that with. Legion legendary effects continue to function until level 115, causing characters using them to be incredibly overpowered until they reach level 116.
You might also want to get someone to carry you through the Argus raid on Normal to get tier gear from there, which set effects will function all the way until 120, and will contribute to your character’s strength.
