HELP Stutter issue

This happens in 3 different occasions. Firstly, in arena when I engage in combat, second is intermittently throughout combat when I quickly adjust my camera angle(not always), and lastly when my view distance is auto-zoomed in due to having a wall/environment to my back.

It is a .5 - 2 second stutter-chop, where it looks like FPS is dropping to about 10-20.

Happens regardless of OBS being used, but It’s even more apparent when I go back and watch my OBS recordings. I have not streamed to check there.

Any settings in particular I should change that may be the culprit?

Solutions i’ve tried:

*WIndows Game Mode/Bar disabled
*CMAA enabled
*Verticle Sync enabled (enabling this fixed my OBS choppy recordings and are now near-flawless save for this intermittent stutter)
*graphics set to 7 with shadow quality=fair and SSAO=good

Thanks!

You may want to post this in the tech support forum. There are blues and people over there who help with just these kind of issues.

If you’re using a gaming mouse, check your polling rate in it’s config program. Try setting it lower if it’s high.

SSD or spindle drive?
And are you saving your OBS recordings to the same drive as your windows and game install?

Just disable that entirely. It doesnt do enough to justify killing your FPS.

I had a similar issue awhile back as well. The solution for me was updating to 1909 on Windows 10, and any other windows updates.

Maybe roll back drivers if you have not had this problem before.

My issue was with specific addon and it only occured at the start of Combat in PvP. So you might wanna go through any PvP specific addons, GladiatorLOSSA or any special UI frames or interrupt thingies.

Or any nameplates. If you’re using some kinda of nameplates try turning them off or switching to Blizzard’s standard.
