Help! Strafing Issue!

I hope this is the correct place to post this! I really need your help guys. Last night, I logged into my shaman and in my second dungeon run noticed some serious issues. Suddenly, I lost control of my character mid run. She began spinning uncontrollably while running. I was able to take her off of auto run but she continued to spin really fast. Luckily, a resto shaman doesn’t have to be facing the target of their heals or we would have wiped. I reloaded and she stopped spinning.

Again the random spinning happened several more times. I asked my teammates if I appeared to be spinning to them and they confirmed I was spinning. After the run, I logged out of the game completely and relogged in after ensuring my addons were up to date. The problem persisted.

I began looking online to see if I could find a solution or even the cause. Some were reporting issues with right clicks causing cursor jumping or strange camera rotations after legion released. Even though that wasn’t quite the same issue, I tested out key and mouse click combinations to try and elicit the problem. I then noticed I cannot strafe while holding down the left mouse button and pressing A and D (default right and left turns). However I can strafe with Q and E (default strafe) and everything functions as normal.

I know what you’re thinking, “well, of course you will strafe as normal with the designated strafing keys.” I simply did that to make sure it wasn’t a camera issue. I even switched the default keybinds for right and left turns to Q and E to eliminate my keyboard being the issue.

I apologize for the long winded post but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I ran a reg dungeon today to have the opportunity to “trigger” the event if I could. No uncontrollable spinning occured. I was able to see what happened with certain mouse and key combinations. Here’s what I came up with: R mouse + A - character spins in place, R mouse + D - nothing, L mouse + A - strafes to left, L mouse + D - nothing.

I also had this happen to me today. immediately I was wondering if it was a toggle for strafing. and tried to reproduce it but was unable to. I was hitting w + a + ctrl and left click. i also accidently hit control with my pinky at the time.

it didnt last long but it would be nice to know how to autostrafe.

likely this was a result of ghosting as some input devices or games have a maximum number of simultaneous button presses.
