Hi all ! I just recently started playing again. About 10days ago. Last time i played was BFA. Yesterday a friend of mine started playing wow.
So im level 70 (i havent purchased TWW yet) and my friend level 21. We both play on same realm and we are on the same guild. I invted him to group up so i can trade him some stuff but we cant see each other even though we are on the same map (the walking shores) and it shows we are side by side. There is a circle thing that says something about timewalking campaign.
I tried going to Chromie to check if im on a different timeline but there is no option to change timeline. (Im not really familiar with timewalking) By the way after i reached level 70 i got a quest Harbinger. Dunno if that is relevant.
This can happen when you and your friend are in different phases of a questline, or a time walking campaign like you mentioned.
Try opening your quest log and looking for a “level sync” button. This will temporarily make your character a lower level to match your friend and can work around some phasing issues.
It doesn’t work all the time, but it’s worth trying. Alternatively you guys could meet up in a capital city like Orgrimmar, where there shouldn’t be any phasing.

Also make sure neither of you are in warmode. That’ll prevent you from seeing each other too.
