To be perfectly honest, if WoW was real life, I would 100% use a robe, but then again I wouldn't be a human male with a body that is a boxy monstrosity. This is in part the reason why I prefer pants.
That being said, I am perfectly happy with my current xmog. However, I would love to see what other fellow mages can put together. Hopefully I am not the only pants enthusiast.
Post your suggestions, please. It would be nice to see some themes based on spec too!
I like simple look. Not a robe person myself. I have quite a few pant outfits.

This is my twink, also pants xmog.
If wow was real life, all robes would accent my beer belly, which is not what I would want.
This classic video from Vanilla will help those in this thread get into the spirit of things!

I don't really like robes either. They dominate your transmog and look very same-y.
I like the simple robes, which are far and few between with newer graphics.
The runebound set is pretty nice and it’s not a robe , the thing is the sleeves are all messed up on h8man makes and blizzard didn’t fix it yet
Take a look at my mog. You might like it maybe.
I think I only have one or two mogs not involving a dress. I don't like most because it looks like some sort of odd spandex.
One of the reasons why I rolled Mag'har, really throws people off when it looks like a warrior is throwing fireballs in your face, lol.
I don't go into battle wearing high heels and I sure won't go into a fight wearing a dress.

@Mistwynd, I like your mog =)
Thanks! :)11/07/2018 12:13 AMPosted by Givlér@Mistwynd, I like your mog =)
I just got this mog, still waiting for the chest I want to actually drop to make it all really match. But I like it because I feel like I finally got a battle mage type of look.
I've been rocking this for my arcane mage. The last tier set was decent for a pant suit too. I prefer wearing pants over the robe, the problem is having chest pieces that work with any of the pants in game.
the gladiator set for season 6 is pretty dope, a sorta skirt thing going on but its no big dress
I've been using this since MoP. Ignore the gloves, i forgot to mog them, i just use the gloves from the same set as the head and shoulders
Head: Cataclysmic Gladiator's Silk Cowl (Vendor)
Shoulders: Cataclysmic Gladiator's Silk Amice (Vendor)
Gloves: Cataclysmic Gladiator's Silk Gloves (Vendor)
Chest: Netherweave Tunic (Crafted)
Tabard: Shattered Sun Tabard
Waist: Dreadful Gladiator's Cord of Cruelty (Crafted)
Legs: Contender's Silk Pants (Crafted)
Feet: Boots of Divine Light (Trash Drop - Battle of Mount Hyjal - BoP - Usually drops, pretty sure you can just keep resetting the trash waves to farm it by letting the boss kill Jaina)
A tabard is necessary to cover up the white underpants of the legs
I originally used it as a Frost only transmog, but it works with everything, really.

I'm not wearing it at the moment, but the Kirin Tor sets from Ulduar are a frequent go to for me and they don't use robes.
There is a red version I wear in Fire Spec (looks like Aethas) and a blue-ish version I wear in Frost (looks like Modera).
