Hey, y’all! I’ll try to keep this from turning into a novel. Folks on the WoW forums are generally very resourceful, so I figured I’d give it a shot!
Long story short, my Facebook account was flagged as “under 13” back in October 2020. Fun fact: I am 37 years old and have had the same FB account ever since it was meant for college students only lol.
I submitted photo ID a few days later. It wasn’t until November that I finally got an email back that basically said, “Because of covid, we don’t have enough people to look at these issues, and you aren’t a priority.” Since then, I have sent in emails every month or so–and have never heard anything back. When I try to log into my account it says:
We Received Your Information
If we still find that you’re not old enough to be on Facebook, your account will remain disabled. This is because your account doesn’t follow our Terms of Service.
We’re always looking out for the security of people on Facebook, so until then you can’t use your account.
I am unable to post on the FB forums because my account is locked. My husband is unable to report my account as lost because it says it’s been reported already. I’ve sent emails to the following addresses:
support@fb.com
disabled@fb.com
appeals@fb.com
security@facebookmail.com
I realize this is a stretch, but I just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has any tips on who to contact or what to do. I’m going on 9 months without my account and that’s fine and all–tbh, it’s been nice being away from social media–but I’d still like it back and in my own hands so that I can properly close it down.
Thanks for reading!
