Hi friends,
I never played any of Dragonflight and I just pre ordered the War Within and got the level 70 boost which I used on this character. When I loaded up the game I was already in Valdrakken. I don’t have a dragon for dragon riding and I also don’t know how to get one or where to start. I was hoping to start the expansion from the beginning, but I can’t even see where to start with that.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!!

You’ll probably still want to do the leveling campaign, starting in the waking shores.
IMO, boosts to the current level cap should not be a thing, or at minimum should only be available to people who already have at least 1 max level character.
I do want to do that but I can’t find where to start in the waking shores. It’s not very clear what quest is the initial quest to pick up.
In that case, it might actually be the DF breadcrumb, which is in SW/Org.
You need to go back to the Waking Shore, to where the ships land (on the shoreline near Wingrest Embassy to the nth east) and start your questing there, because you need to do that to get your dragon mount.
Any quests that are a ! inside a shield, those are main questline quests and you should do those.
Any that are simple ! are side quests and you can do those if you want to as well. As long as you follow the main questline quests starting at the docks on the Waking Shore you cant really go wrong. And within a fairly short time after starting, you will get your first dragon mount. (It takes no more than about half an hour if you are just doing one quest after another.)
I would recommend you then do some research on Wowhead about how dragonriding works.
PS: dont forget to reset your hearthstone to the Dragon Isles.

The 20 renown is char side(enhanced boost) or acc wide?, my main didnt got the rep only the boosted toon
That seems a little silly to have you boosted to max level and 20 renown but not unlock dragonflying and make you do the leveling campaign. Do you not have any new mounts in your mounts tab? The good news is you get dragonflying very quickly, about 40 minutes into the dragonflight campaign in Waking Shores.

It took me a while to figure this out as I was in the same boat, but figured a valid response was necessary for any returning players who immediately boosted to 70. Fly to location where the boat or zeppelin first arrives in the waking shore (81.51, 27.86) and you’ll find NPC’s with quests there, complete those and you’ll start your progress on the Waking Shore questline.
