Used a controller in the past and it worked fine but, now I got a new controller and I can get anything to work right. Default keys don’t work, can’t change my key bindings, just having an awful time. I started a fresh character so it’s not last configuration causing an issue.
I can move around with controller but, it insists that I have 3 separate keys that open my bags and I can’t jump. I’ve reset controller to default settings, tried to change it via Blizz menus and controller settings and nothing takes.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Don’t you need an add-on to use a controller in wow?
Also, why would you ever want to use a controller when mouse+keyboard is superior?
A member of the tribes plays that way. I agree that it is a bad way to play, but he enjoys it. I haven’t seen him on in awhile, but I don’t play on grob that often anymore. If you see dumhed, you can ask him how to do it.
I have the add on as I stated because the controller functions partially.
I don’t care for keyboard mouse combo that much as it feels a bit clunky to me. Yes, I can make it work but, my preference is controller. Don’t understand why all I get is critical answers over my choice. I’m simply looking for a bit of help.
If your controller is a name brand one, use the software that came with it to configure it.
If it’s not a good brand that comes with it’s own software, try installing JoyToKey and using that.
It’s a name brand XboxPro wired brand but, no software came with it. I’ll try that other software and see if I can figure it out

I definitely prefer keyboard and mouse but I used to use a controller occasionally so I could pedal an exercise bike while playing. There are many viable reasons to prefer a controller so I wouldn’t worry if others are judgmental about it.

Sorry I don’t have any help to offer. I also don’t understand the criticism. I played arenas with a 2700+ hunter during WoD who used a controller.
