Help needed: class/race/profession combo

Hello you wonderful community. I would like some suggestion from people on the following.

I plan in leveling 1 of every class in classic; alliance side so shaman is not an option.

My interest lies in what class/race/profession combination to use.

My biggest criteria is that it must make sense thematically so something like a human priest engineer would be straight out.

Also before anyone mentions it. I did play vanilla and remember the time it took to level. I do not plan to rush anything in classic.

well for a rogue your options are generally mining/engineering, skinning/lw, or herbs/alch.

Most Cloth wearers tend to roll with Tailor/Ench or Herb/Alch.

Plate wearers tend to lean more to Mining/Blacksmith

Leather wearers obviously Skinning/LW

Mail wearers can be either Mining/BS or Skinning/LW

If you plan on PvPing heavily, there is no choice other than Engineering

i know, but thematically rogues and alchemy make sense (poisons). as does engineering because rogues are thematically the underhanded class willing to do anything to get an edge.

Alliance is just better when it comes to raiding in vanilla. Simple as that

Gnome Rogue Engineer, Mining
Dwarf Hunter LW, skinning
Dwarf Warrior BS, Mining
Nelf Druid Alchemy, Herbalism
Human Priest Tailor, Enchanting
Gnome Mage Tailor, Enchanting
Human Paladin BS, Mining
Human Warlock Alchemy, Herbalism

It’s far from optimal but at least to me it thematically fits.

That is a nice list. A few of those do peak my interest.

Still unsure of a rogue engineer.

I came to the conclusion that it has to be so because thematically speaking engineer kinda has to be a Gnome and then Gnomes again thematically fit Rogue,Warlock and Mage as a class.

And an engineer really does not fit to a caster class theme so all that was left was to go with the rogue.

I see your point. Just feels iffy. Ill have everything locked down before classic is out.
