Help my understand how to spend my limited game-time to be contribute in Arena PvP

Hello All,

Looking to make a return to some sub-1800 arena gameplay.

I am raising 7 children, work 50 hours a week, and have minor wife aggro if I play too much.

So I think I can play maybe about an hour a day, 5-6 days a week.
My Gear is all around 207 I think from last season.

So far, I think my priorities are:

  1. Grind my reknoun to 80.
  2. Run BGs to get some starter Gear
  3. Run Toghast to get legendary Mats
  4. Convert to Arena 2s or 3s to start working on conquest gear.
  5. Enchant Gear

Does that seem about right?

I don’t have any trade skills really, Don’t know anything about 9.1.5 additions, and am just lost on how to contribute while only playing 7 hours a week.

If this isn’t a troll , please go play another game. It’s gonna take you about 75 hours to get max gear, which is 2.5 months.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but playing wow under this circumstance might actually be detrimental to your life as a whole.

I wouldn’t recommend wow

If you are feeling rich, you could buy carries to get decent gear.

If you know someone at Blizzard, tell them to fix their :poop:

Yeah, gonna have to agree with the above comments. An hour a day just isn’t WoW viable for most people. I’d play CoD or something where an hour worth of playing actually reflects well in your progress.

Look the secret is you gotta get a job where u get home before your wife. Like I get off at 1 pm, she gets off at 4. I have my sons nap time perfectly timed in for 2pm. I get home, shower, he’s ready for a nap, he takes nap and I game out. But then, as soon as I hear my wife’s car pulling up the driveway i take the headset off, turn off the light etc in my office and go to the kitchen and start doing something in there, sweeping, dishes, whatever is at hand. She walks in and I put off the vibe that I’ve been doing house work the whole time our sons been asleep. So that way she thinks I haven’t been on the game all day so after dinner I can sneak off into the office again. But of course if she asks you gotta tell the truth, the secret is getting her not to ask.

Although this strategy only works with 1 kid as far as I can tell, no way you could do this with 2+

Lmao you guys killing me. The real secret is getting a girl who knows who/how you are in the first place. But of course this is useless for those already involved.

To the OP, if I were you I’d grind out conquest from the get go any way you possibly can. Lowest yolo rbgs, super chill 2’s, anything. Don’t bother grinding max honor first, it’ll take foreverrrrr. Getting max renown (can’t even get 80 yet) won’t be hard. That’s the easy part and honestly, dungeons are easy to do that in and being carried in those is cake. I don’t know what kind of friends you have but, that would help. Plus you may get gear from that, ya never know. One hour is tough for sure though. I’d rather play less frequently but for longer on the days you do play if it were a choice.

Personally, I know what it’s like to work a lot and have a kid and such. I work a J shift. 12 her shifts, alternating days and nights throughout the month and a lot of OT. I can go 1-2 weeks without even being able to play at all at times. But I make up for it by playing a lot when I have a day off. I take the kid to daycare once, or I sacrifice my sleep and play all night after the wife and kid go to bed. I can play like from 11pm-4-5am that way. If my kid wakes up at 6-7… so be it. Gotta get it in when ya can right? Haha. I never play while my wife and kid are awake out of respect for them and to be attentive but she knows I stay up all night. She’s a gamer too, loves things like gears of war, Diablo, tomb raider, crash, etc. Just not mmo’s :stuck_out_tongue:

If you have children and a wife, this expansion is not worth playing right now. It’s in a bad phase at the moment. Luckily I only have 1 kid, and my wife is happy that I have a lot of nice things irl that I can entertain myself with. Including this computer and library of games on here. We get our time together, and our time apart. It’s balanced. If you have multiple children, don’t play this game lol.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.

The renown isn’t SUPER important, the only thing is the stam buffs; You can get your legendary if you don’t have it from LFR if it’s from a raid. Do mainly really just the dailies for the BG’s, this week we have against overwhelming odds and epic bg quest which are fairly easy to get. Get a BM trinket ;p

… and soulbind progression.

And ability to upgrade pvp gear.

But nah, not important

It’s ability to upgrade trash waste of time honor gear lol

edit; you get renown from queueing, bg’s, dungeons, etc

And you’d alternatively be wearing what gear while farming time-gated conquest gear?

Easy to get M+ gear and conquest r1 gear that you get from doing the other things I said

So your suggestion to the OP (a likely troll, but whatever), who enjoys pvp but can only commit an hour per day, is to run dungeons?

Elder Scrolls Online you can jump in and get the feeling you’ve done something in less than an hour, but still its possible to play far more for those few days you can.

I mean it was gg from the start, I just feel that you need such a completely ridiculous amount of honor for conq gear, that if there’s such limited playtime then I guess, honestly xd. But yea

You’re either trolling (highly likely) or honest. In either case:

  1. if trolling, uninstall.
  2. if honest, uninstall. Wow doesn’t cater to this schedule. Play a moba, a campaign game, or a FPS. I think a Nintendo switch is a great idea for you and your family

A day in the life of a cuck.

Why hide and be sneaky. You are an adult, do what you want, reasonably.
