Help me understand spell block

Swapped over to prot a couple of weeks ago cause I’m not getting any younger and brew takes all the life out of me to play these days. And it feels awful.

I’ve got all my 10s and an 11 done on the warrior but I still don’t fully understand spell block. Is it single target spells? Aoe spells like group damage? Any magic mitigation? I don’t think that’s it cause it would kind of be a duplicate spell reflect without the reflect piece.

I feel like the toolkit is pretty straightforward and not to insult warrior faithfuls, it’s not difficult to play at all. Just don’t get that one ability.

Basically if a spell is whitelisted as blockable, spellblock enables you to block it.

Edit: Sad to report that on anima slash the guardian was immune. Was looking forward to making him hurt a bunch for once.
