Help me understand Mythic Dungeons please

How do I find a group for this on my level…i guess 0? How do I even go to a Mythic Dungeon? What’s this keystone and how do i get one? What’s the object of a mythic dung. Besides clearing it? Can we teleport into the dungeon or do we need to go to the portals? Also please provide ANY information that might be of use for a 100% complete noob in mythical dungeons and tank as I have never done one. Thank you!

press I , opens the dungeon finder page , press premade / custom groups then hit dungeon and then find a group and then youll get all the different dungeon custom groups there. can search to filter for 0’s and then can click to join one or go back a page and create your own and wait for people to queue up

edit this was written for M0’s gorups

You don’t need a keystone to do a m+. Only if you create one. You will get a keystone after you finish one. Basically have to kill the final boss. If people leave and you don’t finish you won’t get a keystone.

If you want to make a group and don’t have a keystone, you can make a m0 run and once you finish you will get a +2 key.

Complete a Mythic dungeon without a key and you will be given a key, from there, you can form a group to complete it and you will get progressively better loot the higher the key gets.

Or, you can just try and join another person’s group using their key but that takes a whole lot more time unless you are already clearing a bunch of keys and have a bunch of gear.

So basically mythic dungeons are harder than normal/heroic dungeons

press I and go to premade groups, for M0 you don’t need a key and can just start forming the group, after finishing a M0 you will be given a key to one of the Mythic+ dungeons.

You just walk to the instance itself and zone in.

You get a keystone from finishing a M0 and subsequently each week from the vault I believe you get another keystone for after the reset. The keystone’s purpose is to increase the difficulty and thus rewards for the mythic+ you’re doing.

To clear it within the time limit is the only objective. Doing so upgrades your key, allowing you to do harder mythic+ with better rewards. Upon clearing it your group will be given 2 items depending on the diffculty. You can run Mythic+ endlessly. So it’s a relatively fast but grindy way to gear up.

If you’re just starting you have to walk to the instances manually, but I believe you eventually unlock the ability to teleport to the specific instances after you clear a certain level of a keystone.

I would recommend downloading the addon “Raider IO” as most people who regularly do mythic + use that to see how “good” you are. And some groups will just ignore your invite request if you don’t have that addon.

There are also various Mythic + addons that give you detailed guides on the fastest and most optimal routes to take in the dungeons as well as what abilities to watch out for.

I would also recommend looking up guides on youtube from pro mythic + players as they’ll give you tips.

Thank you guys all for the help! I think my healer buddy and I might try these! Great tips! If anyone else thinks of anything please chime in!

There is no queue system for mythic 0 and beyond. Press i to open the window and go to premade groups - dungeons.

Find one you want to do, probably 0s and 2s if youre just starting out.

You can get a key by doing a mythic 0 or higher dungeon and it will give you a level 2 key.

To use your key put it into the font at the start of the dungeon and press go.

The goal of a key is to kill all the bosses and enough trash to fill the trash count bar before the timer runs out. Succeed and the key will raise in levels depending on how fast you did the key. So if your group slams a +2 key youll get a +5 back at the end.

Fail the timer and the key downgrades 1 level. So that +5 would become a +4 of the same dungeon. You still get loot at the end for a failed key but itll be slightly lower ilvl and possibly less pieces overall than you would have if you timed it.

Finishing a key unlocks slots in the great vault which you can collect 1 piece of gear from on reset day. The ilvl of this gear is determined by the key level that unlocks that slot. First slot is just your highest key for the week, second slot is your highest after 4 keys. So doing an +11, +11, +11 and a bunch of +5 keys would give you a level 11 reward in the first slot and a level 5 reward in the second. Same rules apply for the third slot which is 8 dungeons.

If you do one more +11 than the second slot would give an 11 reward.

Failing an 11 key still counts as an 11 for the vault, as long as you finish the key.
