Hi, indecisive me again!
Looking to prep a healer for next season, because my desire to dps isn’t going to happen, and I don’t really want to stick with my priest. I change mains most tiers to spice things up.
I have druid, paladin at 80 I can gear to heal. Shaman is 73, monk is 70.
We have two other shaman, no monks, one druid and one paladin. A second druid sometimes heals.
I’m thinking maybe paladin, ours is the raid leader. I haven’t healed on pally since like, BfA. I’m curious, but not entirely sure I’ll like it.
Any suggestions? Advice? Thanks!
Monk or shaman. Totems can be fun and add a layer. Monk being a melee healer would be a more significant play style switch from Priest…
Druid is not my cup and Pally feels off to me as a healer.

I started as a prevoker this season and didn’t really like it.
Monk has a bit of a learning curve but I think if you can get used to it, Fistweaver is quite fun.
Probably just best to try them out in a follower dungeon , everyone has their preferences and play styles. For me? It’s resto shaman and has been since 2008. Do not like MW personally, they don’t seem to have strong AOE heals and I struggled leveling my MW during TW when multiple people were getting hurt. Holy priest is OK, just so many damn abilities. I tried resto druid back in 2008, again, not my cup of tea and I tried holy pally and again, not my thing. I’ve read evoker has distance issues (you have to be close to people to heal them).
I’ll vote Monk. I’m not sure if you’re into melee healer Paladin…
I’d go pally so your raid has AM. If your monk was 80, I’d pick that, but your guild can always just recruit one, if they want Mystic Touch.
Try out the dragon. You wont wanna go back.
Evokers are really fun and have the strongest healing throughput in raid. Shamans are best in M+ and dominate cause of their ultility. But if you’re not worried about the metas and just want a fun healer to play all are fun in their own way and all are decently close in throughput.
In terms of enjoyment of playing them, my top 3 are: Pres Evoker, Mistweaver Monk and Resto Sham.
Meh, people kept hyping about Prevoker. It still have 30 yard range on most spells, weak ST/burst healing, and I think Rewind is still only one emergency button, no?
It’s still top tier, but it’s not meant for everyone.

The ONLY healer I enjoy is Resto Shaman.
So obviously thats gonna be my choice.
I’ve wanted to get in to healing myself, but I stress myself out over it. as a dps I just have to worry about keeping me alive. As a healer, I have to worry about keeping everyone alive.

The suggestion of trying them all in follower dungeons is a good idea, why didn’t I think of that? I might just do that.
And melee healers aren’t a problem. 
Which saying that, it’s between monk and paladin atm. I’m gonna give the pally a try here in a few.
