My 3 current tanks:
Paly - 2250
Monk - 2370
Druid - 2340
I enjoy all three but don’t have to time anymore to push them so I need help deciding.
Druid is as basic as tanks get, go in heal yourself into next year and be a bear
Paladin is great for team support as I mostly pug it helps out
Monk is just fun but offers little in the way of group support.
I guess monk bc its ur highest one
It depends on your key goals. If you’re happy to help friends get +10s for vault slots or crests, it really doesn’t matter, go with monk if its the most fun. If you want to focus pushing high keys (17+ and over) then choose the class that is pushing those keys (currently paladin) and be prepared to swap when the meta changes.
I know tuning changes desired group composition from patch to patch, but Paladins, Warlocks, and Shaman feel like the swiss army knives of the M+ pug world. Always great options, IMO. But like everyone has said, if all you care about is doing portal level keys, then it doesn’t really matter–tanks will get invites, play with you want.
I would go with prot paladin since you enjoy the roll and pug end game content.

Monk is the bottom right now and I wouldn’t main it unless you are really attached to it. If you are mainly pugging, Paladin is great to cover group interrupts, but the downside is that we are squishier and have less HP than Druids.
I think you should pick your tank like picking a starting character in Oregon trail. You get no benefits by starting as a poor farmer but all the glory of surviving the dysentary soaked journey and besting it.
As such…holy priest. For or the lulz.
