You can go to any xpac at any point if you want to. Provided you already have a max level character, which it appears you do since you’re leveling in legion. New players get shoveled into bfa first.

all i know is that we finally got my other brother to try out wow. he got sent to bfa on his first ever toon. soon as you finish that new starting area you show up at the seal and do the intro quests for pyramid.

does that mean that’s the only choice for new players or are they supposed to be able to do other content? seems strange that they’re throwing brand new players right into bfa content. makes sense just seems strange to me after the 16 years of doing it the other way.

you’d think they’d want fresh players to be doing content with other leveling/new players while they learn the game instead of right smack dab in the middle of vets which half are intolerant towards newbies. and i can say that newbies to mmorpgs, even 30 yr game vets, have a huge learning curve and are far from on par with others when it comes to everything you need to learn in wow to get a handle on it.

wish i would’ve thought of that before he capped his toon. i was so excited to show him azeroth and all i got to show him was bfa. and all he heard was my disgust of bfa the entire time we leveled.

So I have many max level alts. So I can go to almost any area I want to level up in, and I have tried several different areas. But I am wondering if the New players who are getting bumped to BFA content can actually click on the quest board. What is actually on that board for the NEW PLAYERS?

Yes.

They do lots of things that are strange to new players. The only thing they’ve done right was the Exile’s Reach questline. Every other aspect of their design seems to be aimed at making the new player experience as quick and tedious as possible. I know it’s quite a feat to make something both quick and tedious, but I think Blizzard managed to pull it off with their New Player Experience.

You can go to BfA at anytime but non-BfA content caps out at lvl 45. So lvl 45 onward you want to start doing BfA content.

If you open your map and highlight any zone, it tells you what lvl you need to be to go to that desired zone

You can pick up the BFA entry quest in either Org or SW at level 10+. Check and see if the guard standing next to hero’s board has a quest to talk to the king or warchief.
