I just got done leveling 3 other toons to 120. Now its time for my lock, but I can’t decide what spec to go. I love both Demo and Destro so much and I just can’t decide! Play them both.
Demo if you like sending hordes of demons at your foes and the imp explosions. Destro is burst damage mainly. I recommend affliction, I’ve had a lot of fun with it.
For fun? Demo or destro.
For parse? Demo.
Side note: demo is hard to play well, and destro is so easy it’s boring imo.
Avoid aff unless you raid at a high level and need to min/max fights (even then demo is king on a lot of fights). I almost quit wow because aff is such a pita to play outside of raid. I could kill WQ mobs faster on my ilvl300 DH than on my 380 warlock thanks to ramp time.
Oh I plan to go Demo I think. I love demo and I think it can be a blast! I played it before BFA came out but I decided to level my DH instead at the time. But I think demo. It’s so fun!

i absolutely love warlock, only reason i switched long ago was because my old guild needed a mage instead of stacking lock…anyway. i loved destruction back then when you were able to run and cast. but i had always liked Aff, and when i had pvped i played demo or would stick to destro.
playing today though, i started out as aff, i enjoyed it thus far. but it seemed to have lost something for me. still it is a fun spec.
i have now swapped to demo, and it feels pretty flavorful to me, summoning demons left and right and commanding a fel guard with some wild imps hanging around. aesthetically everything about lock is good to me. but i think i just fell in love with demo.
Yes! The master summoner! This is going to be amazing! I just love the idea of summoning legions of demons!
