Help me choose a race?

Hey folks,

I’m going to be rolling a hunter tomorrow on another server that I plan to main through TWW. I’m curious what race you would suggest for a BM hunter and what your reasoning is behind it (Not entirely based on racials as I’m fairly casual I don’t get that into high end content). I enjoy some good lore and it can be either Horde or Alliance.

IMO the best BM hunter races are troll, orc, dwarf and night elf. They all have quite a bit of lore flavour as hunters.

Maybe you should wait until TWW comes out . There will be more races to choose from .

Blood Elves or Void Elves because clothes look the best on us.

I would just make a dwarf for the racial. I know you said you’re casual, but there’s really no reason not to just make a dwarf.

Gotta be Orc imo.

  1. They look cool
  2. Pet damage bonus
  3. Awesome DPS racial
  4. Zug Zug.

If you don’t want to look stupid, don’t roll human hunter!

But if you want perfection, roll Draenei!

Why not roll an earthen when they come out?

If you want strictly BM, then I would say your number one choice would be Orc of either flavour with an edge to green orcs for the racial.

Orcs are the OG Beast Masters, especially the Frost Wolves. A big part of their culture revolves around hunting and their animal companions. To the point where even non hunters will have close relationships with their Wolves.

NElf because:

  • Best character voices in the game, both male and female, are soothing and not annoying in the least.
  • Female NElves have the best Bow (weapon) animations of any playable character.
  • Shadowmeld gives you an additional aggro-dump if Feign Death is on CD.

I suggest female Draenei for physical attractiveness.

Void elf hunter since Alleria is taking focus in TWW. :bow_and_arrow::octopus:

Dwarves hunter since most cool pets are dwarven themed in TWW. :eagle::woman_beard:

Goblins or Gnomes since they’re easier to name. :memo::robot:

Female night elf,male dwarf, or male orc.

Mechagnomes look hilarious when running with a speed buff.

Mag’har orcs are cool and have very cool heritage armor and a whole lot of very fitting mogs from WoD.

As someone who has many hunter alts of many different races, I say Orc. And not just any Orc, but the Mag’har.

If you don’t want Orc then the next best is Dwarf. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Vulpera. Racials are great. Second hearthstone anywhere in the world. Cute boys. Tiny is fun.
