Help Interpreting MTR output?

Wondering if someone could take a look at this and give me any insight. Obviously 10% packet loss isn’t good. Ultimately I’m hoping for enough information to rule in / out my local network, or rule in / out my ISP.

EDIT: Also wanted to point out that this happens sporadically.

Forum does a crap job of formatting that. Recommend pasting it into an editor.

Thanks.

Howdy Nonvolatile,

Looking this WinMTR over the 11% packet loss starts on the first hop of your ISP. This can still be caused by a modem having issues but is the least likely cause in this scenario sense the packet loss continues down the line. I would contact the ISP and have them send a tech out to check the lines, there is a chance there is a split at location or degradation in the actual lines.

If they don’t find anything on the lines replacing the modem would be the next step I would personally take in this instance.

Thank you for responding. Yes I have a tech coming out today. Just preparing myself for the inevitable “everything looks good on our end”.

Hey hey.

I hope that they are able to find what is causing the issue and get this fixed up so you can get back to playing!
