I used to have this really cool spell called Glacial Spike and after Tuesday reset it was gone. I can’t even find it in my spell book. I think it appeared once during a random dungeon I did today, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Did they remove it? I hope they didn’t, it was a really cool spell.

Great news, you don’t need to use your precious brain-power and “free-will” or “player agency” any-longer. Deliver yourself to Blizzard, and let them guide your hand.
They will unburden you, allowing you to cast Glacial Spike, ONCE, every 30 seconds. But, ONLY, after you started combat, otherwise, it is far too complex. You needn’t worry about such thing, just spam your little icy bolts and firey-ice bolts, then, when you least expect it, you’ll get that giant Glacial Spike – but you better be quick, it’ll melt after 60 seconds of admiration.

I think I saw it appear for me once yesterday just before I left a tombstone in a delve, I tried to catch it but I was overcome with emotion at finally seeing it and the tears caused me to shimmer into ground circle boom.

I just want to bump this post for visibility because I too, cannot find Glacial Spike in my spell book, and I would really appreciate it if Blizzard reverted whatever change they made in 12.0.5 that removed it.

My Frostbolt keeps turning into a Glacial Spike - While I love surprises, I prefer my big damage dealers to be intentional.
The new auto-fill system feels like Blizzard trying to play the mage for us. Let us have our agency back—make GS Frost Mage playable and arguably average DPS again.

Dear Devs, I am one of those players you mentioned who ‘cannot find Frostbolt in the spell book’. As a result, I also cannot find Glacial Spike ..
Glacial Spike refuses to charge up unless I am already in combat.
I know you intended to make Mage life more ‘dynamic’, but I preferred when my opener didn’t require me to cast a base frostbolt first.
