Help if anyone can

My pets are getting one-shotted by normal mobs. Rijiku is named on shatterhalls, Also my dops is -2.3 from what it should be for beast master. I was wondering if anyone could help with rotation or trinkets to use.

Get a Scalehide until you can tame Exotic Beasts. Once you reach the level for Exotic Beasts, get a Core Hound. Once you reach 60, get a Clefthoof. These pets are the best for soloing. If they get one shotted, it likely isn’t soloable.

Couple of things. First, if you are trying to solo stuff, you want Killer Instinct in the first talent row. Animal Companion reduces the damage of your main pet. As the best tanking pets are Ferocity, reducing the damage reduces the leech healing.

Also for talents, Aspect of the Beast is better for soloing at a minimum (May even be better in other content as well but I’ll let others speak to that). This is because it amplifies the leech which leads to more healing.

Look at my armory for talents and pets I use as a BM Hunter. I dont have any problems soling anything. I soloed all 8 layers of Torghast TC with a Clefthoof https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/dalaran/foxnfriends
EdIT: disregard the Trailblazer talent I use Natural Mending.

I’ve never had a problem with pet dying unless I pull the entire floor in Torghast.

Mend Pet is 50% heal and Exhil is 100%, you can recall your pet to you and binding shot for a heal reset. It’s really hard for a pet to die. You can use a clefthoof, but I’ve never had to use one and prefer the Lust/Mortal Wounds pets.

Thanks to everyone advice I was able to solo again. Just needed a little bump in right directions.
